Having the knowledge of it is just a mere observation, but
understanding its importance is education. History is as important as breathing air, having the knowledge and being able to reflect and infer in it is way better than memorizing its contents. The significance of philosophy to science is innate, philosophers as they say examine historical documents and paradoxes to better amplify the results of scientific experiments in the present. Its importance does not only pertain to scientific knowledge and experiments, but also on technological advancements – philosophical views vary from a person to another, drawing conclusions on their culture may be a reason to change science and technology. Examining politics and the society and its significance on science, just like knowing the history of vaccines and other scientific innovations, is a good way to start to have a better education. Teaching the students, the relationship between the society and science can draw philosophical views and can hone critical and creative thinking of the students. In this lesson, I have learned that there are many things in science, if not all, related to philosophy, specifically on history. It is for us teachers to help the students relate the two and make an inference about it.
