 Values integration motivates children to understand activities that is given by different

learning areas. It leads to understanding and motivation. It is about teaching students how to
use their knowledge for the betterment of themselves and society.

2. What is the importance of values Integration in teaching mathematics in the primary grades.

 The importance of values integration in teaching mathematics is to develop positive

environment and feelings so that students are enabled to internalize those, and activate all
three domains of learning, i.e. cognitive, psychomotor and affective in the process. Through
values integration students build their values in mathematics which can help them to apply it in
a real life setting.
