USE OF WATER IN DAILY ACTIVITIES

WHAT IS WATER?

 A substance composed of chemical elements HYDROGEN and OXYGEN.


 It has the special ability to dissolve other substances like powder.

6 MAJOR USES OF WATER IN OUR DAILY ACTIVITIES

1. Drinking -  Drinking water can prevent dehydration and it carrying nutrients and


oxygen to your cells.
2. Bathing - cleans your skin, helping you avoid irritation, inflammation and gently
exfoliating skin.
3. Cooking -  We use water all the time in cooking and this is due to its many
properties that makes it very useful in the preparation of food.
4. Washing dishes - Clean dishes and utensils are important to family health.
Bacteria grow on dishes and utensils that have not been thoroughly cleaned,
rinsed, and dried. Dirty dishes, utensils, and food scraps left sitting in the kitchen
can attract cockroaches, mice, or other pests.
5. Watering plants - Water helps a plant by transporting important nutrients
through the plant.
6. Cleaning our food - prevent you from becoming infected with food-borne
illnesses like Salmonella.
