ADVANTAGES OF WATER PURIFIERS

Water purifiers are becoming more and more popular with each passing day due to the increase in
water contamination and water-borne diseases that we are facing nowadays. The main reason
behind the use of water purifiers is to avoid health issues which are becoming common in today’s
hectic life. Water purifiers help us to get a bacteria free and healthy dose of water supply. There are
many types of water purifiers available in market and can be of great use in places where the water
is contaminated and not suitable for drinking and cooking purposes.

A common and simple water filter or purifier may not be enough to counter serious issues related to
contaminated water. Due to thick population in the cities, bore well water has become very
common. Purifiers with advanced purification technologies are needed.

Here are the reasons why you should opt for a water purifier to guarantee the supply of fresh and
clean water for your family:

 Water purification can protect against harmful organisms

Studies have shown that unfiltered water may comprise microorganisms causing diarrhea and other
diseases. Water filtration systems are required to clean the water and kill these microorganisms in
order to provide people with safe drinking water. Without water purification, 90 percent of the
world’s water supply is unfit for drinking.

 Water purification removes toxic metals

Apart from the microorganisms that untreated water contains, it is also seen as a source of various
minerals, including copper and magnesium. Even though some of these minerals do not necessarily
pose a threat to one’s health or life, they may react and respond to different minerals, like lead and
copper, which are harmful to the human body. A variety of treatments, such as disinfectant agents,
chemicals and filtration systems, are employed to help decrease risk and illness by removing as
much as possible of the minerals from the water.

activities during winter season are also one of the main reasons for dehydration. To maintain the
temperature balance in the body, it is very important to drink sufficient water during winter or
summer. Including fruits and vegetables in our daily routine boost the immune system and fights off

us healthy. Kidney excretes more urine in winter so the definite amount of water which is needed by
other organs for proper working may not be sufficient, which may cause variation in blood pressure
and stiffness in arteries. It becomes very important to avoid the consumption of sodium. Smoking
also causes dehydration in both winter and summer. Pregnant women are more vulnerable to
dehydration during winter seasons. For men, at least twelve glasses of water is mandatory and
minimum eight glasses of water are recommended in daily life for women. During winter, our body
needs more energy to maintain the water level so that it can function properly.
