John 20:1-10, 19-23

[1]The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre,
and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

[2]Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith
unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid
him.

[3]Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

[4]So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

[5]And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

[6]Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

[7]And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a
place by itself.

[8]Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

[9]For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

[10]Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

[19]Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the
disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you.

[20]And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad,
when they saw the Lord.

[21]Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

[22]And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

[23]Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are
retained.

* I want to show us the truth about the gifts of Christ's resurrection towards man.

* Reading the first 10 verses, we will see the confused state of man. This is the state of every one who is
not in alignment with the doings of God. For any man that cannot discern, there's tendency to miss out.
We must be able to know God's doings at all times for us to stay and live according to His word. The
disciples felt confused because they didn't understand the words. Though truth of the matter, they
heard the happenings before it came into existence but as they were not able to discern the time and
season, they missed out on the DOings.

* But when we got to verse 19 something happene. Christ came in His fullness to reveal himself to
mankind so they understand the meanings of the word. Even though we read the books, we can't
understand if the Spirit of God doesn't reveal things to us.

When Christ rose, He came with three things to give mankind.

1) His peace: This peace wasn't initiated by our actions, it started through Christ's death and
resurrection. Ephe. 2:14-19 confirmed this for us. It was confirmed that through Christ death and
resurrection, we have peace. So, if any man doesn't believe in His death and resurrection, we are liable
to not have that peace. Isaiah 53 says,

"But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed"

Peace is paramount in life and any believer that tends to say he or she doesn't have peace should check
him/herself. Are you still on the right path? Are you still a believer? Because, so far we are believers of
the death and resurrection, we are liable to have peace. I am not saying there won't be reasons for us
not to have peace as trials and tribulations will come but so far we are believers, that peace is just there.

2) His power: And it is confirmed to us that the power we can have is the Holy Spirit. Acts says, "For you
shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you...." Holy Ghost is every believers power.
And the evidence of God's power is ability to speak in tongues right. Like I said their will be tribulations,
their will be trials that might want to take the peace. What do we do at that time we might want to feel
like not having peace? Activate God's power. Speak in tongues in trials and tribulations. Believers
should know what they have and as it is said, you use what you have to get what you want. Use the
power given to you to get the peace you desire. I've heard of situations of bad occurrences and when
the power was applied, the peace was achieved. Believers, please let's activate God's power. And in this
filthy world, we have the tendency not to experience peace everytime So, what do we do? We keep
praying in the Spirit. In that, we won't stay idle and we get our desired peace.

John 20:22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Christ breathed on the disciples here but it didn't come into manifestation until they activated it in the
book of Acts. Believers might choose not to activate this power and they will still remain in the state
they've always been known with.
3) His Purpose: John 20:21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also
send you.” What has he sent us to do because truth be told, we can't do His purpose without His peace
and power. The purpose of Christ is that everyone hears the word. Bringing men to Christ is His purpose.
As it is right of us to know that we can preach to others. God's purpose to us is that we use everything
we have to do that purpose. You are called to be a musician, it's for His purpose. The money we have is
for His purpose

Purpose driven life by Rick Warren showed us what we do to live a purposeful life. It is when we live the
life of worship to the father. And the life of worship to the Father is us doing that which He wants of us
which pleases Him. Anything we are called to do as a ministry is not for us but for God's purpose. To
reach out to others. We revealed to us what we've been called to do. The ministry of reconciliation. Any
ministry we have that doesn't reconcile men to God is not from God as His purpose is to reach out to
men and bring them to Himself.

The resurrection of Christ continually makes manifestation in our lives in Jesus name... Thanks to

everyone
