TWRP

You must have custom recovery TWRP to Install DrKetan ROM. Official TWRP is included in ROM zip. You
must update TWRP with included one in ROM zip. Below is link to TWRP OP

Key combo for recovery & download mode :

Recovery – Reboot device (In case you stuck somewhere then keep holding Vol down + Power and it
will force reboot, release button as soon screen goes blank) → Immediately hold and Keep pressing Vol
up + Power till you see TWRP screen. Device must be connected to PC during this.

Download mode – Reboot device (In case you stuck somewhere then keep holding Vol down + Power
and it will force reboot, release button as soon screen goes blank) → Immediately hold and Keep
pressing Vol up + vol down till you see download mode screen. Device must be connected to PC during
this.

If you are on stock non rooted ROM/Stock rooted ROM without TWRP then follow these steps first :

Install TWRP with Odin (Included in ROM zip) → Flash Multidisabler (link below)→ Format Data from
TWRP (full wipe that requires to type ‘yes’ to confirm) → Reboot to system → Then use Option 2 or 3
below

ROM Components:

A.Bootloader and Modem files (Separate for N986B and N985F, download according your device)

BL_DrKetan_*_CP_*.zip This is bootloader , modem and AP files needs to extract and flash
using Odin from PC. If you are on same base of ROM, you can skip flashing these files. If you
don’t know about existing base then flash it. Follow installation.txt packed inside zip to flash BL
and modem files.

B.ROM zip contains following files (Common for N986B and N985F)

1. Super.img : Main ROM file that includes system,vendor,ODM and Product files.
2. ROM setup : N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip This includes kernel and root files and must
run after flashing super.img. Also it has some customization options.
3. TWRP folder : Contains TWRP (Update TWRP included in ROM zip)
4. MD5 : This is MD5 check sum of super.img and ROM file.
5. Magisk Manager. (In case it requires)

ROM Installation Guide to Install Dr.Ketan ROM on N20 Ultra

Installing ROM has following options

Option 1. Dirty Install. Not Recommended. It won’t erase data. You should try this option only if your
device doesn’t have any error currently and you are on same ROM previous version. (e.g. Dr.Ketan ROM
S*)

Option 2. Clean Install. Format data - that will erase everything from internal storage. This option is
must when you are on Stock ROM/Other ROM . Most stable option.

Option 3. Factory Reset. Factory reset without wiping media files. This option for existing custom ROM
users. If this doesn’t work, Use option 2.
Option 1: Dirty Install

We don't recommend Dirty Install and specifically when you are coming from another ROM, likely it
won't work.

 Uninstall TweaksPro if you are using and reinstall after installing ROM
 Extract downloaded zip to PC and check MD5
 Copy super.img & N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip to Internal storage
 Uninstall Magisk app from drawer
 Reboot to TWRP → Install → Install image → select super.img for super partition - Flash
 From Install menu of TWRP → Select Install zip
 Run N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip Install as zip (In case you get error – Reboot TWRP and
try again)
 Select to complete setup
 Choose any other required option if needed and let installation finish
 Reboot to download mode (From TWRP) – Connect to PC(Hold power+Vol down) → as soon as
device restart → leave keys and immediately hold Vol UP+Vol Down
 Flash Boot loader and Modem with Odin from PC
 Reboot to system
 Check If magisk stub installed – If there, open and complete installation. If not, Install Magisk
app (Available in download area/ROM zip) – Open it and complete required setup if asked for

Open ROM Tool → Apply essential fix → reboot → From ROM Tool → Mods & Misc fix → Apply

Option 2: Clean Install. These will Factory reset device + erase all data from Internal Storage.

2A. Clean Install with USB OTG/SD card

 Copy downloaded zip to USB OTG/Ext SD card and Extract & Check MD5
 Copy Boot loader modem zip to PC
 Reboot to TWRP → Install → Install image → select super.img placed in USB OTG/Ext SD for
super partition
 Format data
 From Install menu of TWRP → Select Install zip
 Install N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip from USB OTG/Ext SD card and run (In case you get
error – Reboot TWRP and try again)
 Select to complete setup
 Choose any other required option if needed and let installation finish
 Reboot to download mode (From TWRP) – Connect to PC(Hold power+Vol down) → as soon as
device restart → leave keys and immediately hold Vol UP+Vol Down
 Flash Boot loader and Modem with Odin from PC
 Reboot to system

Open Magisk app and complete required setup if asked for

Open ROM Tool → Apply essential fix → reboot → From ROM Tool → Mods & Misc fix → Apply

2B. Clean Install without USB OTG/SD card

 Flash Samsung stock ROM same base if you are on any custom ROM/old stock ROM
 Flash TWRP → Flash Multidisabler → Format data → Reboot to System
 After this step straight way follow option 3

Option 3: Factory Reset , Must Backup Existing data before using this.

 Extract downloaded zip to PC, check MD5

 Copy super.img & N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip to Int storage
(IMPORTANT: Copy at this stage before wiping data, you can’t copy file > 4GB while you are in TWRP)
 Reboot to TWRP and select to Factory Reset
 Reboot to TWRP → Install → Install image → select super.img for super partition
 From Install menu of TWRP → Select Install zip
 Run N986B_N985F*_DrKetanROM_S*.zip Install as zip (In case you get error – Reboot TWRP and
try again)
 Select to complete setup
 Choose any other required option if needed and let installation finish
 Reboot to download mode (From TWRP) – Connect to PC(Hold power+Vol down) → as soon as
device restart → leave keys and immediately hold Vol UP+Vol Down
 Flash Boot loader and Modem with Odin from PC
 Reboot to system

Open magisk and complete additional setup if ask

Open ROM Tool → Apply essential fix → reboot → From ROM Tool → Mods & Misc fix → Apply
