Case scenario -1
 Mrs. Y is a 35 years old female working as a bank clerk. Her bank is busy and
mostly caters to clients from abroad.
 Recently after the first few cases of COVID-19 were reported, she became a bit
worried about the possibility of her getting infected but since she has received
gloves and masks she is quite comfortable and carries out her work.
 The moment she comes home, she changes her clothes and washes her hands as
prescribed. But when she listens to the news on TV, she worries for some time as
to whether she would infect her mother who is 90 years old and living with her.
These thoughts last for 10-15 minutes, but she can dismiss them and carry on
with her routines.
Discussion
 Mrs. Y only has occasional anxious thoughts with no impairment in her daily
functioning.
 Occasional psychological symptoms without any major impact on her life is
NORMAL in the current scenario. She just requires reassurance that her concerns
are understandable and that the safety precautions she has been taking are fine
enough.

Case scenario -2
 Mr. X is a 38 years old male reported sleep disturbances, he was not getting sleep
for the past 3 months.
 Reported work pressure and unable to manage his time and other activities at
home. He had Continued symptoms of Tiredness, feeling frustrated in work
place, less appetite and feeling lonely. He had a habit of smoking whenever he
feel sleepless or stressful situation.
Discussion
 Psychologically evaluated Mr.X, he was not able to follow his daily routine
activities, sleep disturbances.
 Activity Scheduling have been done and helped him to manage sleep cycle and
educated sleep hygiene techniques. After one week of follow-up he reported his
sleep was improved.
 Educated Spending quality of time – family rituals, positive coping strategies.

Case scenario -3
 Ms. R, 29yrs old female reported with the complaints of getting angry easily,
unable to direct her anger issues, feeling irritable, crying and not willing to talk to
anyone, sensitive to criticism, difficulty in concentrating in work.
Discussion
 Anger management helped her to direct her anger related issues, enhanced her
support system such as friends, family members.
