The PinchukArtCentre was founded in September 2006 by businessman and


philanthropist Victor Pinchuk. It is one the largest and most dynamic private
contemporary art centres in Central and Eastern Europe. With over 3 million
visitors, the PinchukArtCentre has become an international hub for contemporary art,
developing the Ukrainian art scene while generating critical public discourse for
society as a whole.
For more than a decade, дЕкейд, the PinchukArtCentre has provided free access
to new ideas, perceptions and emotions. Its exhibition program investigates
national identity in the context of international challenges. It engages the public in a
dynamic dialogue through a full range of educational and discursive events.

In 2016, the PinchukArtCentre launched Research Platform as a pioneering


(пайеніернь) project that aims to generate a living archive ˈɑːkaɪv of Ukrainian art
from the early 1980s through the present. The research is constantly shared with the
public through exhibitions, publications, and discussions.
The PinchukArtCentre is located in Kyiv's historic architectural complex in the
Besarabka area, which underwent a major renovation in the beginning of the 21st
century. The interior architecture for the centre was developed by the French architect
Philippe Chiambaretta. Currently, the PinchukArtCentre occupies six floors with
exhibition spaces on four floors, library, education room, book store, video-lounge
and café. The total exhibition space amounts to more than 3000 sq. meters.
2. Founded in October 2016 by Max and Julia Voloshyn, Voloshyn Gallery
specializes in contemporary art. It show cases a broad range of media in
contemporary art, hosting solo and group exhibitions. In 2015, the Voloshyns
made it to the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.
Voloshyn Gallery fosters the integration of Ukrainian art into global cultural
processes, representing its artists at international art fairs and shows in Europe and
the US. Voloshyn Gallery aims to discover exceptional talent, with particular focus
on emerging and mid-career artists.
Voloshyn Gallery is a cutting-edge exhibition space located in Kyiv’s cultural and
historical center, on Tereshchenkivska Street, in a historic 1913 building formerly
owned by a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist N.A. Tereshchenko.
3. Shcherbenko Art Center (SHATS) was founded in 2012 by Marina Shcherbenko
on the basis of the Bottega Gallery (2008-2014). The main mission of the art space
was to build a bridge between art professionals and a wide audience. For 5 years
it has established itself as a center for exhibiting works by renowned masters and a
research institution that studies the experimental art of young artists.
4. Art Ukraine Gallery
Natalia Zabolotna, whose name is publicly associated with the heyday of the
Ukrainian House and Art Arsenal, became the head of the gallery, which opened its
doors in November 2016. The space with a total area of 800 square meters is located
near the Mariinsky Park. The gallery immediately became one of the most visited in
the capital. Its goal is to interest and create demand for art in all segments of the
population. That is why, in addition to exhibition and publishing activities, it is a
place of cultural dialogue, educational programs and social initiatives. The
permanent exhibition, presented on the ground floor, includes works by successful
Ukrainian artists: Oleksandr Sukholit, Oleksandr Roitburd, Viktor Sydorenko, Oleg
Tistol, Anatoliy Kryvolap, Roman Minin. The area for presentations of new projects
is updated every two months. For the first year in its walls Zabolotna presented
personal projects of Stepan Ryabchenko, Vinny Reunov, Arsen Savadov.

" Ya Gallery" was opened in the spring of 2007 by curator, musician ("Ocean
Elsa") and collector Pavel Gudimov. Subsequently, with the support of collector

Pavel Martynov, a branch of the center " Ya GALLERY" was established in


Dnepropetrovsk. The mission of the organization was to promote contemporary art,
which is carried out through exhibitions, lectures, conferences, as well as publishing
its own art books. The Art Center has launched its own scholarship program, as well

as an exploration project for the unexplored territory of Ukrainian naive art. " Ya
Gallery" regularly participates in such art events as: ART-KYIV Contemporary, art
fair ART MOSCOW, festivals of contemporary art GOGOLFEST and
ARTVILNIUS, Museum Nights in Ukraine and abroad. Among the regular authors of

" Ya Gallery" 63 artists. The most famous are Pavlo Makov, Oleksandr Sukholit,
Tiberiy Silvashi, Vlada Ralko, Anton Logov.
