Current analysis

IE = IB + IC
IE/IC = IB/IC + IC/IC
define α = IC/IE and ß = IC/IB

then 1/ = 1/ß + 1


therefore  = ß/(ß + 1)
and ß = /(1-)

 = output current / input current for CB

 = Ic / IE CURRENT GAIN

Ic < IE ------------>  < 1

CB is not a current amplifier !!


but a voltage amplifier
