TASK 3: LET’S DIG FURTHER!

1. Arachne was very talented she could weave the most beautiful cloth anyone had ever
seen. However, this skill became the cause of her fear when she became proud and boastful.
She became haughty, ungrateful, and complacent and challenged the Goddess of wisdom and
crafts, Athena to a weaving contest. Arachne made great efforts to win the contest but
eventually lost as Athena's work was much better than hers.

2. Arachne tried to fight her fear by taking on of the most powerful goddesses. She faced
Athena, as she challenged her.

3. Arachne does and does it very well is weaving beautiful embroideries. Controlling her pride
prevented her from being humble, and that made it difficult for her to solve her problem.

4. Athena would probably forgive Arachne for she is the one who told Arachne that if she
apologizes, she will be forgiven by pretending as an old age.
