Coach Tony Garbelotto outlines his defensive philosophy of constantly pressuring the ball and making it difficult for opponents to run their actions. His core principles include being in great physical shape, limiting penetration, helping teammates, and defending the rim and three-point line. He believes defense does not require talent and emphasizes developing fundamentals like stance, closeouts, and rotations through drilling. His goals are to hold opponents under 70 points and 40% shooting while forcing 15+ turnovers per game.

DEFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY • My coaching philosophy has always being built on DEFENSE. But what does that mean?
• For me it means I want to constantly pressure the ball. Make it
tough for teams to get into their actions. Be physical on and off ball. Defend the rim/paint and three point line and to give up NO EASY SCORES. I also want to be able to run different types of defenses to confuse opponents in certain situations.
• This is my statement to my team before a season:-
• “To play tough championship level defense requires constant
effort and developing not only a physical presence but a mindset that will overcome the offense both in one v one situations but also as a team helping each other constantly”
• Defense DOES NOT REQUIRE TALENT!!!
• How do we build and achieve this philosophy?
