EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report is prepared after getting internship in Bank of Punjab. It is the oldest bank that is still
operating in Pakistan. This report is the result of 6-week internship at Bank of Punjab Badami Bagh
Branch, Lahore. I feel myself lucky to have worked with such a cooperative, dedicated, result oriented
team. They all helped me in every possible way they can. The report has been divided into four sections.

The first section contains the introduction in which overview of the organization and detail of
organization structure is provided along with the product line and services provided by bop.

The second section of my internship report consist of situational analysis. In this section, the detailed
analysis of the organization has been done all the financial, technical, managerial and strategic aspects
have been evaluate to analyze the current position of the organization.

The third section of my internship report consist of SWOT analysis. In swot analysis of the report,
strength is the source of investment venture. Weakness is weaker organized regarding finance and
decision-making process. Opportunities are management system branches or to tend internet banking.

The fourth section of my internship report is key learnings in different departments. My internship period
is 28-07-2021 to 10-09-2021, during internship, I worked in the following departments:

 Accounts Opening Department

 Clearing Department
 Accounts Department
 Operations Department
 Heavy transitions and threshold

You will able to red all my tasks, which I performed in the entire above department in the next coming
pages of my report.

Conclusions and the recommendations are the part of the report. References is the part, which contain all
the references from which I, obtained data to prepare this report.

At the end I would conclude that the internship had helped me a lot in different areas of which banking
and other concern areas of my study. I also learned how to working tough situations which would help me
in a long way. And it wouldn’t be possible without the assistance of the team with whom I had spent 6
weeks.

No one can say that I am perfect, everyone should admit that without the help of ALLAH and his people
a man can’t get anything so, first of all, I want to express all my humble thanks to ALLAH
ALMIGHTY. All respect to his Holy Prophet HAZRAT MUHMMAD (Please be upon him) who
brought the light of knowledge when the humanity was wandering in the desert of ignorance.

Secondly, I am grateful to my internship coordinator Miss Simky Shehzadi, who guided me a lot. I am
also thankful to all other teachers as the knowledge imparted by them enables me to gain knowledge of
the organization in best way.

I would like to thank to all the staff of BOP, particularly Mr. Zaighum, Mr. Amir, Mrs. Shumaila Rafique,
Miss Shabnam, Muhammad Awais who gives me an opportunity to work in the bank and gave me a
chance to explore my knowledge.

I submit my earnest thanks to my affectionate parents, who always remains at my back to support me, I
can never give the return of their un tired struggle for me, but I can prove myself as they expect from me.
