CAUTION
Use a non-marring trim
removal tool (such as Snap-
on® P/N PBN5 or equivalent) to
avoid damaging trim pieces.
Be sure to wear disposable
gloves throughout this
procedure to avoid soiling any
interior trim components.
NOTICE A
After disconnecting the negative
terminal of the battery, wait about
thirty seconds before proceeding
with the repair.
CAUTION
The removed airbag module
should be stored in a clean, dry
place with the pad cover face up.
Tightening torque : A
39.2 ~ 49.0 N.m (4.0 ~ 4.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~
36.2 lb-ft)
CAUTION
Do not hammer on the steering
wheel to remove it. This may
damage the steering column.
NOTICE
Use caution not to damage the cover
with the screw driver.
NOTICE
When installing the new clock
spring, leave the alignment tool in
the clock spring until the steering
wheel is back on to ensure that
the clock spring stays in
alignment with the steering
wheel.
