al (January, 2017): Analysis and Design of a (G+6) Multi-Storey Building

Using STAAD Pro.: They used static indeterminacy methods to calculate numbers of unknown forces.
Distributing known fixed and moments to satisfy the condition of compatibility by Iteration method.
Kani’s method was used to distribute moments at sucessire joints in frame and continues beam for
stability of members of building structure. They used the designing software STADD Pro. which
reduced lot of time in design, gives accuracy

Ibrahim, et.al (April 2019): Design and Analysis of Residential Building (G+4):

After analyzing the G+4 story residential building structure, conducted that the structure is rate in
loading. like dead load, live load, wind load and seismic loads. Member dimensions (Beam, column, slab)
are assigned by calculating the load type and its quantity applied on it. Auto CAD gives detailed
information at the structure members length, height, depth, size and numbers, etc. STADD Pro. has a
capability to calculate the program contains number of parameters which are designed as per IS 456:
2000. Beams were designed for flexure, shear and tension and it gives the detail number, position and
spacing brief.

J Selwyn Babu et.al., in 202012], Worked on "Dynamic Analysis Multi-storeyed Building Using ETABS".
Task on basic investigation of multi-story building utilizing suitable strategies for auxiliary examination
and programming (E-TABS). ETABS represents expanded three-dimensional investigation of building
systems. The primary reason for this product is to plan multi-storeyed structure in a deliberate
procedure. There are various techniques in ETABS like response spectra analysis & time history
investigation & push over analysis & so on., to beat the troubles in tremor, response spectra are the
most well-known apparatus in the seismic investigation of structures. In this investigation G+9 multi-
storeyed private structure is divided in zones II and IV with sidelong stacking impact of seismic vibration
utilizing reaction spectra method. This undertaking is structured according to IS CODES-IS 1893-Section
2:2002, IS 456-2000. From the examination story displacement, story drift, story shear, story solidness
and base responses esteems are assessed for correlation.

M. Firoj and S. K. Singh in December 2018[3], worked on "Response Spectrum Analysis for Irregular
Multi-Storey Structure in Seismic Zone V". Earthquake is the most disastrous and unpredictable natural
phenomenon which causes huge destruction to human lives as well as infrastructure. Seismic forces
generated during earthquake leads to severe damage to structural elements and sometimes structural
failure. Therefore, analysis and design of the buildings considering the effect of lateral forces is very
important aspect. In this paper studied on, a G+10 storied building was analysed through the response
spectrum analysis using three different computer software i.e., ETABS, STAD PRO and SAP2000. The
displacements of joints, axial forces, time period and mass participating factors were studied. The design
response spectrum curve suggested by the IS: 1893 Part-1 for seismic design is utilized to perform the
dynamic analysis. It was found that the considered building is stiff for earthquake excitation as model
mass participation factor is more than 75 percent. The joint displacement in X- direction is found more
as compared due to the fact that the earthquake motion was applied in X-direction.

N. B Baraskar, Prof.U.R. Kawade in March 2015141, Worked on "Structural Performance of RC Structural

wall system over conventional Beam Column System in G+15 storey Building" This research work having
scope of analysis and design of G+15 storey building with RC Structural wall and its advantages as a
structural point of view. For this thesis design software ETABS is used for design and analysis. Analysis is
carried out considering the various seismic and wind load condition for both system of framing Column
beam conventional system and RC structural wall compared on the basis of various structural
parameters. From analysis result new structural parameter is represented which having the best
performance in the lateral loading.

Ramanand Shukla, Prithwish Saha in 2017[5], worked on "Comparative study of a G+10 storied building
using ETABS and STAAD". This paper implies that in case of STAAD Wind load is applied directly on the
model but in case of ETABS, it is applied using a diaphragm. Hence the load is managed in a better way.
Also, ETABS mesh the plate automatically and find out the stresses more accurately. But STAAD only
calculates the stress at the given plate dimension, without meshing the plates. So, when it comes to
analysis. of plates, ETABS is to some extent superior, compared to STAAD.

Pallavi Harish Wagh et.al, (2019): As studiedsteel is a universal construction material in many multi-story
commercial buildings and factories as well as in bridges also. Both Steel and concrete results in quick
construction and good bonding properties. The two different materials are completely compatible and
complementary to each other. Steel concrete composite construction are the single unit under loading
they have almost same thermal expansion. This method is more economic than complete steel and
Reinforced concrete structures. Weight of Steel and concrete structure is reduced as compared to RCC
structure due to small structural steel section. It results in minimizing the foundation cost. Comparison
of Story Drift for RCC and Composite Structures varies from 22% to 32%. Due to increase in axial load in
RCC structures have higher values in bending moment and shear force.
