Residence information

Portugal is a European Union member state and grants visa-free entry to all EU/EFTA citizens, as well as certain
family members and relatives even if they are not from the EU themselves. EU nationals can enter the country
for three months with the aim of finding a job or setting up a business. Once hired, EU nationals have the same
rights as Portuguese workers.

If you are an EU/EFTA citizen in Portugal for more than 90 days, you need a registration certificate from your
local city council to formalize your residence. Each member of your family will need to be registered. You will
also typically need to sign up for social security in Portugal.

The registration certificate is valid for five years. Once you have been in Portugal for 90 days, you have 30 days
to apply for your registration certificate. The cost is around €15.

If you are an EU/EEA/Switzerland citizen and intend to stay in Portugal for a period exceeding three months,
you need to apply for a Registration Certificate to formalize your right of residence in Portugal no later than 30
days after the first three months of your entry in the country are over. Registration for citizens residing in
Porto council is made at the Gabinete do Munícipe, Praça General Humberto Delgado, 266, 4049-001 Porto
(Mon/Fri, 9:00-17:00), costs €15 and documents required are: (1) valid civil identification document or
passport; (2) proof of financial means (e.g., employment agreement) or proof of registration in an educational
establishment; (3) proof of address. The certificate is issued upon submission.

Portugese vasteland
Bij inreis moet iedereen van 12 jaar of ouder middels het Digitaal Corona Certificaat (DCC) één van de
volgende bewijzen kunnen aantonen. Gebruik hiervoor je QR-code uit de CoronaCheck-app.

• Een vaccinatiebewijs waaruit blijkt dat je volledig bent gevaccineerd. Op het moment van vertrek heb
je de laatste vaccinatie minimaal 14 dagen geleden ontvangen. Je vaccinatiebewijs is 9 maanden
geldig na de laatste prik.
• Een herstelbewijs waaruit blijkt dat je in de afgelopen 180 dagen bent hersteld van Covid-19.
• Een negatief testbewijs. Reizigers van 12 jaar of ouder moeten binnen 72 uur voor vertrek een PCR-
test of binnen 24 uur voor vertrek een antigeentest laten afnemen met een negatief resultaat.

Open. Als je een bar of discotheek wil bezoeken moet je je coronabewijs kunnen laten zien via de
CoronaCheck-app. Bij een bezoek aan een restaurant is dit niet meer nodig.

Ik zie dat je vrijwel overal maandkorting krijgt omdat wij voor een langere tijd verblijven.

Heeft eigenlijk alles wat wij graag willen in een appartement, alleen is het redelijk ver van de stad af,
We moeten kijken hoe het zit met OV in de streek.
Twee slaapkamers hebben een twee persoons bed en een slaapkamer heeft twee 1-persoons
bedden, maar ze kunnen wel tegen elkaar worden geschoven.

Heeft alles wat we nodig hebben. Enige nadeel vind ik dat een slaapkamer een slaapbank heeft,
maar dit is geen ramp. Redelijk dicht bij de stad en metro en busstop bijna voor de deur.

Prima recensies, zijn er maar 2. Woonwijk iets buiten de stad maar alsnog wel centraal. Makkelijk
met OV. Supermarkt, etc. dichtbij. Een kamer met 2 eenpersoons bedden.
