humidification

By using steam humidification systems in their commercial facilities, industry professionals

experience the following benefits:

Better Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is significantly improved when the RH is between 40–60%. At these levels,
both the presence of airborne bacteria and viruses and the development of fungi, mites, and
ozone are reduced. As a result, the occurrence of allergies, asthma, and other respiratory
symptoms among employees is much lower.

Greater Employee Comfort

Humidification for Industrial Use

Drier air forces the human body to give up moisture. As moisture transfers from areas of
higher humidity (the human body) to areas of lower humidity (the surrounding environment),
the object losing the moisture (the employee) feels colder. Adding moisture into the
workspace, slows the rate of evaporation, making employees feel warmer without increasing
the actual temperature.

Higher Manufacturing Process Quality

In manufacturing operations, humidity is critical to the performance of production equipment
and systems. As any changes in humidity can significantly affect how certain materials react
and interact, it is important to maintain consistent levels to ensure the finished parts
demonstrate the same dimensions and quality from batch to batch. A humidification system
helps achieve this goal

Sterlization
One of the several uses of steam in agriculture is the disinfection of tools. However, that’s
just a tip of the ‘steamberg.’ Steam is used in soil sterilization. Soil steam sterilization is a
farming method that involves the sterilization of soil with steam. Steam sterilization can be
carried out in greenhouses or open fields.
The process is effective in the partial killing of weeds, bacteria, viruses and fungi. The
product of killing soil microbes is the release of cellular proteins, which increases the
nutrients in the soil considerably. The process is regarded as partial disinfection because
spore-forming bacteria are heat-resistant and can survive or reactivate once the soil is back to
its cold state.
Soil steaming is a perfect solution for soil fatigue. Revitalization, improved growth and
disinfection are the benefits of soil steaming. The 21st century method of disinfecting
compost and sick soil is soil steaming. It is preferred to the use of bromomethane. According
to the Montreal Protocol, “steam is effective in the elimination of soil pathogens that causes
protein coagulation or enzyme inactivation.”

auxiliary steam generator

An auxiliary steam generator system for a power plant, comprising a water-steam circuit,
which has a condensate line and a feed-water line, wherein a condensate pump is connected
in the condensate line and a feed-water pump is connected in the feed-water line, and wherein
a pressure accumulating vessel is connected between the condensate pump and the feed-water
pump, and wherein a feed-water take-off line is connected to the water-steam circuit at a
branch-off point after the pressure accumulating vessel is provided. The feed-water take-off
line is connected to the pressure accumulating vessel and a heating device is connected in the
feed-water take-off line.

HVAC(Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)

For some time now, the expression “clean steam” has drawn the attention of technicians who
have been using steam for a range of different purposes in the pharmaceutical industry. The
terms is used to refer to it as a heat-conveying fluid or a source to provide specific humidity
to the dry air flows in HVAC systems in pharmaceutical installations. The purpose of this
article is to relate the importance of the steam’s quality for HVAC installations, the current
regulations and the generating systems that are now at the cutting edge of air humidity
control equipment design

In Power Plants
The process of using high-pressured steam to generate electrical power is known as the
Rankine cycle. The process was designed by William J.M Rankine, a Scottish engineer, in
1859. As we’ve mentioned earlier, power plants rely on steam to maximize the energy
coming from carbon-based fuel or nuclear reactors.
