COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is a continuation of machine design 1 which involves the analysis of simple, variable and
combined stresses applied to the different machine elements flywheels, brakes and clutches, bearings,
flexible power transmissions such as belts, wire ropes and chains. It also includes analysis and synthesis
of machineries which consist of two or more machine elements preferable using an application software.
