1. Objective 目标

To identify the hazard associated with electrical equipment i.e. power tools and their safe use so as
to protect our workers and neighbours from incident.

4. Responsibility 职责

4.1 The Site Supervisor (SS) / Foreman (FM) shall be responsible for the correct issuance of tools to
the workers.
现场监督员(SS)/工头(FM)应负责向工人正确发放工具。

4.2 Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) / Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC)
shall ensure that proper precaution has been taken before using the power tools and shall ensure
fully compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (Construction) Regulations and other legal
requirement.
工作场所安全与健康员(WSHO)/工作场所安全与健康协调员(WSHC)应保证在使用动力工具前
已采取合适的预防措施,并应保证完全遵守工作场所安全与健康(施工)规定和其他法律要求。

4.3 The SS / Sub-contractors shall be responsible for maintaining the tools.


现场监督员/分包商应负责维护工具。

5. Procedure 程序

5.1 Selection of Tools 工具的选择

5.1.1 Tools are selected basing on the type and nature of task to be carried out as well as the
potential hazards and risks the tools will cause.
根据要进行的任务类型和性质以及工具导致的潜在危害和风险选择工具。
5.1.2 Typical injuries identified through the hazards/risks analysis from the use of portable
power tools are burns, cuts, strains and injuries resulting electric shock, particles flying
into the eyes, fire, falls, explosion and falling tools.
根据便携式动力工具的使用,通过危害/风险分析识别的典型伤害为烧伤、切割、拉伤以及
由触电、颗粒飞入眼睛、火灾、坠落、爆炸和工具坠落等造成的伤害。

5.1.3 The SS / FM shall make an inventory of the tools on site.He/she shall maintain the
inventory at least once a month.See Tool Inventory.
现场监督员/工头应将工具库存在现场。他/她应至少每月进行依次库存维护。参见工具库存。

5.2 Care and Use of Power Tools 动力工具保管和使用

5.2.1 The SS / FM shall check that: 现场监督员/工头应检查:

a) the tools are in working condition

b) the right tools have been issued to workers to carry out the task

c) the workers are competent in using the tools issued to them

5.2.2 The workers and sub-contractors shall be trained by the WSHO / WSHC or SS / FM on
the correct and safe use of tools through tool-box meeting or safety talks, safety promotion
etc. See Safe Use of Power Tools Dos & Don’ts for a simplified training guide.
工人和分包商应由工作场所安全与健康员/工作场所安全与卫生协调员或现场监督员/工头通
过工具箱会议或安全谈话、安全宣传等对工具的正确和安全使用进行培训。参见动力工具

5.2.3 The SS shall conduct visual inspection of the power tools once weekly.

5.2.4 Tools that are damaged or malfunctioned shall be properly indicated to prevent accidental
usage.

5.2.5 The Project Manager (PM) / Person-in-Charge (PIC) shall provide proper storage and
repair facilities for the tools.
项目经理(PM)/负责人(PIC)应为工具提供合适的存放和修理设施。
5.3 Safety precaution 安全预防措施

5.3.1 Based on different power sources of the tools, the SS / FM and Sub-contractors shall take

5.3.2 The FM and sub-contractors shall ensure that his/her workmen follow the company safety
rules and regulations and also safety precautions.The SS / FM shall monitor the situation
through daily inspection.

5.3.3 During routine inspection and safety meetings, WSHO / WSHC or SS / FM shall inform the
workers and sub-contractors to rectify all the unsafe acts and conditions.

5.3.4 In the case of non-conformance, the PM / PIC shall take necessary action against the
persons per the Control of Non-Conforming Product & Corrective / Preventive Action
procedure.
