Reading Accomplishment

1. Last February 17 po, we are monitored by 2 Education Program Supervisors.

They checked po how far we’ve come along with our reading program, and for their TA po nun as one na
siya.. the concern is on giving enhancement program and activities to learners. Sabi po nun,

Independent reader – we will give them activities that is above their ability.

Instructional reader – give them guided activities that is appropriate with their level

Frustration reader- activities that is given must be aligned with their level. Lower grade passages.

**Suggestion po on identifying our learners reading level, kasi po nagmadali tayo during the monitoring.. since hindi
po tayo nagconduct ng oral reading test sa mga bata… maganda po siguro na makipagcoordinate tayo sa mga
advisers kasi mas kakilala po nila yung mga bata na hawak nila kaysa sa atin. Lalong-lalo na po sa pag identify ng mga
frustration readers.

2. Another accomplishment po, last week we’ve conducted po the pilot testing of reading materials for
instruction and intervention from the division office. The selected and pilot tested subject po sa atin ay
Filipino 7, Aralin 3 and English 10 Lesson 5.

Things to be done.

1. Progress tracking of learners in reading – from quarter 1 o 4.


(Coordinate with the advisers, get the learners contact number if needed for reading level verification)
Tract their Address.
2. (After tracking the reading level of learners po kung san po located ang mga mata-tract natin struggling
readers (Focus). As a part of our Brigada Pagbasa, lets help each other po para makipag Coordinate with their
SK chairman. Siguro we will make another MoA nalang for the SKs… kasi mag-aask din po tayo kay SK to help
us na maghanap ng pwede pong maging volunteer within their community para kay learner natin na frustrated
level sa pagbasa. (official page of School/the language department para dun po sana ipost din yung link na
pwedeng i-access at ifill-out ng gustong magvolunteer).
3. If possible may MoA for parents/guardians din sa ating mga struggling readers. Para in case po may mga
makukuha tayong volunteers hindi po sila magugulat pag ivivisit ang kanilang anak at home at kung papaya po
ba sila sa arrangement nag ganon.
4. Home visitation of reading teachers. Para kamustahin at makita ang progress nung struggling reader po natin.
5. Crafting of reading Intervention. In making our reading intervention po it should focus on vocabulary, fluency
and comprehension po, as stated in DM no. 88 series 2021, Sa English po ang ginawa nalang po namin na
intervention ay itong mga to.
a. Comprehension worksheets for Frustration readers. Kasi wala pa naman pong official na galing sa Division
office. Kasalukuyan pa po nilang ginagawa. We can make one din po for this, provided that it was approved
by our School LR team, District LR team and paDivision po siya. Ang ginawa po naming saamin we have
downloaded some po from the Phil-Iri Manual. Since pang Frustration naman po siya, mas mababa po ung
level worksheet dapat.
b. Reading of passages from their LAS. (at least 30 mins per week) This can be done in any of the following
form po depende sa instruction po ni subject teacher.
B1. Kapamilya Shared Reading: Reading with the family members.
B2. Mirror-Gazing-Reading: reading infront of the mirror. Applicable sa mga tula or short stories po,
because this will boost the confidence of our learners.
B3. Silent Reading: ask learners to read any of the passages from their given LAS.
c. Book Worm Reader. Encourage learners to read fiction or non-fiction books at least 2 hours per week. (not
possessive series po). Pwedeng magsend siguro sakanila ng mga articles, stories related to your lesson
ganun po.
d. OWAW Activity. One-Word-A-Week. We ask learners po to have their own vocabulary notebook. Tas
every week po magsusulat sila dun ng 1 unfamiliar word, isesearch then isesearch po yung meaning nung
word para maging familiar po sila sa ibig sabihin nun.
e. SAW Activity. Sentence-A-Week. From OWAW po learners are ask to use the unfamiliar word to a
sentence. Para mas maging famillar po sila sa word na yon.
f. Join the RBI sessions.
g. Access some Youtube links for supplementary learning. (Minsan po nagsesend din kami ng videos related
to their lesson sa respective GC nila in english) since limited nga po ang ating interaction sakanila.. sa
youtube po kasi may mga lesson sa English na yung mode of explaination niya nasa tagalog. Kung iaaccess
po ng bata yun, maari pong makahelp saknya.
h. Lastly, we have the DEPED LMS po, pwede pong iaccess ng mga learners natin kasi may mga activities po
dun na pwede nila sagutan. Across all learning area po siya.

Yun lang po, alam ko na medyo mahirap pong ipatupad with the kind of learners we have pero lets do our best
nalang po to our learners to instill the love of learning and reading. Habang may buhay, may pag-asa. Maraming
Salamat po at sama-sama po sana tayo at tulong-tulong sa programang ito ng ating departamento.
