Firstly,I am very happy to receive the email from you. And it's amazing how interested you are in my
country. I will definitely tell you about the festival here.
You can try to visit and camp in the countryside during Vietnamese New Year. Tet, also known as Lunar
new year festival, is the biggest traditional festival in Viet Nam. Tet is usually from the end of January to
early February. Before Tet, Vietnamese prepare many things for the three main days. They clean the
house and decorate it with peach blossoms or kumquats. Make sure when you come on these days. You
will enjoy dishes such as: Banh Chung, Banh Tet, Gio cha, Xoi and Mut.
During Tet, people visit their relatives’ homes and give wishes. Another custom is giving lucky money,
which is put into a red envelope as a symbol of luck and wish for a new age. Traditionally, elders will
give lucky money to children and the oldest people in the family. However, If you show up, you will also
have 1 red envelope.
Finally, I hope to see you on Tet holiday.

I fully support such programs. Children also need such programs for entertainment. It is perfectly good
for children. But having practice day and night every month just to join a program, parents should think
