Look around you and observe every person’s action. After doing so, what have you noticed?

Well, of course, you have seen their clothes, their shoes, most probably the brands, the color of their
hair, the shape of their faces, and a lot more. But what have you realized after observing? They are all
about the outside appearances, right? Yes, that’s most probably it, and from there a lot of people may
have already formulated their impressions. However, have you thought how this specific person might
be feeling at the exact moment you have saw him? Every human may have similarities in terms of
fashion, but each has their unique stories to tell. One might be about his successes, but some maybe
about how they have survived mental health problems. That leads us to our topic, the importance of
mental health awareness.

Today, mental health condition is still seen as unimportant matter whereas people dealing with
mental health problems are perceived as being dramatic. Fortunately, this pandemic has opened the
eyes of most people and are promoting awareness regarding the aforementioned topic. The advocacy
about this is essential to help the people be educated and know how to act around the people they are
hanging with. They would be knowledgeable of the dos and don’ts in comforting their loved ones.

Based on what I have observed through acquaintances that are giving advice, they tend to
compare themselves to the sufferer and some are invalidating someone’s hardships as being too shallow
to be sad about and so on. While it is true that there’s always a solution in every circumstance. Yet,
every person is unique and has different capacities and ways to cope up. Some people may have
experienced it harder than you have thought, hence it is better to be kinder and think well of the
thoughts that you want to say. In fact, this pandemic has disturbed the sanity of humans because of its
negative impacts on every household, from the financial problems, but not limited to it, were converted
to psychological issues.
