Subject: Apology for absence from the examination

Dear Sir,
With profound regrets, I write this to express sincere apology for my inability to
attend the examination. This is to let you know that I apologize for missing my 1st
semester midterm exam. Although the semester exams were important to my
academic career, I was not able to attend.
I am a student of first semester (session 2020-2021) BSc computer science and
engineering.
I have been suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar mood disorder for last 2
months (april, may). So, I could not prepare myself for the mid-year exams
because I could not take regular classes due to illness. For this reason, I have not
been able to take part in the mid-term exams. As the semester examination is the
only pathway to proceed to the next semester, I am expecting mercy from you.
In the end, I am begging you again to grant my apology letter and allow me to
continue my classes. I will be very thankful to you forever.
