 Recently, Emma has put on a lot of weight. For two weeks,

she has been on a strict diet. She is very pleased with herself

because she has already lost five pounds, but she wants to

lose ten more pounds before her trip to France next

month. Emma is going with a group of friends, and she

wants to look her best and wear her fashionable clothes.

Everyone tells her she looks great, but she does not agree. She buys new clothes for her

vacation, but she cannot fit into them. Emma buys a diet book that lists the calories of foods.

At the end of the day, she writes down everything she eats and adds up the calories. She tries

to eat no more than a thousand calories per day. Right now, she is thinking about eating a

slice of cake and a burger. Everyone agrees that dieting is not easy, especially when you are

a sweet tooth!
