    HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK 2022-23

    SCIENCE
    CLASS VI

    1. Collect 6 packed items that are available in market.


    • Make a list of nutrients found in them.
    • Find out the amount of each of the nutrients present in them.
    • Note down your observations.
    • From your observations, which food items are good or not good for your health.

    2. ‘Grouping of objects help the shopkeeper.’ Justify the statement.

    3. To study germinating seeds/ sprouting seeds.

    You all must have eaten sprouts. Prepare some sprouts of moong/ chickpea (horse
    gram) as discussed in the class. Wash them in water and soak overnight. Next
    morning drain all the water. Tie them in a piece of cloth and keep it wet until white
    tender sprouts begin to grow. Record your observations made on day 1,2,3,4 and 5
    in an observation table and write a few lines to describe how plants grow from
    seeds.

    4. Draw a beautiful diagram on A3 size sheet on any of the given topic :


    ‘Balanced Diet’ or ‘Life Cycle of a Silkworm’.

    5. Learn and write all the Question/Answers of chapters done in class in a separate
    notebook.
