What is SOFI?
System and Organ Function Insurance

▪ Uses a different way of categorizing and defining

covered critical illnesses as it is based on bodily
system and organs.

▪ It is designed to provide payout upon occurrence of

an event which critically affect a person’s health such
as diagnosis of severe illness (cancer, heart attack,
stroke), surgery, or when any of the covered systems
or organs has been moderately or severely impaired
or needs to undergo moderate or severe surgery.

SOFI definitions are different from existing CI definitions. Confidential 49

While existing CI products are good,
the numbers game cannot be played forever.

Customers look for CI coverage to protect

themselves from the unexpected event(s) over a
long period of time.

The reality is policy provisions are set at the time

of sales and may not be able to cover ALL
sicknesses over time.

SOFI does not intend to replace existing CI list but to present an alternative to clients.
