1. This approval relates to the UNIVERSAL 1910, 191E, 1920, 1930, 1950 and 195L push bar
panic exit devices and components. The approval also relates to the ‘Modular’ and ‘Sena’
range of Outside Access Devices (OAD’s).
2. This certification is provided to the client for their own purposes and we cannot opine on
whether it will be accepted by Building Control authorities or any other third parties for any
purpose.
3. This approval relates to the use of the family of exit devices with the following door
assemblies:
*Note: Outside Access Devices are approved for use on 90 and 120 minute ITT door
assemblies only.
5. This approval is applicable only to the specified exit devices and relevant accessories when
used with door assemblies of proven fire resistance (as defined by EN 1634-1 or BS 476: Part
22: 1987**). Failure to install the device and accessories in the appropriate manner will
invalidate this certificate of approval.
**Note: Outside Access Devices are approved for use door assemblies of proven fire
resistance as defined by BS 476: Part 22: 1987 only.

6. It is a requirement of this report that the doorsets to which the panic hardware is fitted
shall have been previously tested unlatched in the configuration required.
7. The purpose of the appraisal is only to consider the influence of fitting the proposed
hardware items to a doorset, and not its ability to provide an essential latching action.
8. Where these devices are to be fitted to pairs of doors with rebated meeting stiles, this typically
represents a more onerous condition compared with plain meeting stile details tested. It is
therefore assumed the proposed doorsets have suitable test evidence for rebated meeting
stiles.
9. Where Outside Access Devices (OAD’s) are incorporated on 90 minute or 120 minute
ITT/ITM/ITC doorsets the door leaves shall have minimum thickness of 60 mm. It is also
required that 90 and 120 minute ITT door leaves incorporate a minimum 12 mm thick, non-
combustible, mineral based sub-facings.
10. The approval relates to on-going production. Product and/or its immediate packaging is
identified with the manufacturer’s name, the product name or number, the CERTIFIRE name
or name and mark, together with the CERTIFIRE certificate number and application where
appropriate.
