AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLAINT

 What is it?
It is a sworn statement filed by someone who wishes to file a case, usually before
the courts but also before other tribunals. It becomes the basis for the case, providing
basic information about the facts of the matter and outlining the nature of the case.
This document becomes part of the record of the case once it is given due course in
the court or tribunal where it was filed.

AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS

 What is it?
As the name suggests, this affidavit is executed by a person who witnessed a
certain act, event or incident. It is often used to corroborate another affidavit, such as
an affidavit of complaint, and is similarly submitted in court as evidence for a case.
