What Is It For?
Seek-It Squares are designed to target specific articulation needs. In this version, students or
clients working on their medial ‘R’ sound will achieve many trials rapidly with this fun and fast
articulation game.

× 57 flashcards for one, two, and three-syllable words with a medial ‘R’ sound
× 55 playing cards
× Instructions

How Do I Play?
Set Up:
× Print all flashcards and playing cards on cardstock, laminate them, and cut them out.
× Before playing, use the flashcards to make sure every player is familiar with the
vocabulary words and pictures.
× This game is intended for 2-5 players.
× Shuffle all playing cards and deal them out equally between all players, saving one playing
card to be the center card, which should be placed face-up in the center of the table.

Playing:
× Players should keep their personal cards face-down, except for the one in use.
× Simultaneously, players flip over one of their cards at a time and try to spot the one
symbol that appears on both the center card and on their own card.
× The first player to spot a match will shout out the name of the symbol (example:
“martian!”). That same player will take his/her card and place it face-up on top of the
center card, making his/her card the new center card.
× This process is repeated every time a new center card is revealed.

Winner:
× The game continues until the first of the players matches ALL of his/her cards,
making this player the winner.
