EXECUTIVE SUMMARY :
The project is called "Veterinary Clinics Biskra." In Biskra, Algeria, an animal clinic will be
constructed, as well as an infrastructure for the assessment and treatment of animal diseases.
The establishment of animal clinics is a popular and creative business in the animal health
care market.
the veterinary clinic project one of the most popular projects in recent years, and its success is
dependent on the creation of a feasibility study of an integrated veterinary clinic that
encompasses all financial, technological, and logistical components
The feasibility study was carried out for a planned new animal hospital in Algeria. The
project's goal is to build a veterinary hospital that provides the greatest quality of treatment
and care for pets, and is equipped with all means, capacities, and latest technology in this
sector.
Animal clinic was investigated in terms of viability, socioeconomic structure, location of
application and infrastructure, technical and financial analyses in this feasibility study.
Gains such as diagnosis, treatment, protection of sick animals, diagnosis of diseases which
can be transmitted from animals to human, preventive treatment, contribution to the country's
livestock, and training vets who will perform their profession in the best way are anticipated
with the construction of the "Veterinary clinic."
It is well understood that animal food is crucial to our country's economy, and the vet clinic
will play a significant role in assuring the healthy return of animals to the country's economy
(Rahi mkhalta ga3 animal food aprs return of animals ???????)
Given that animals transmit 60% of human illnesses and that novel zoonotic diseases differ
from nation to nation and region to region, the necessity of the animal clinic becomes clearer.
The global expansion of veterinary clinics is critical for concerns such as animal health, food
safety, animal production, welfare of animals, animal rights, biosecurity, and environmental
health, as well as the training of qualified veterinarians.
The animal population is growing by the day, yet treatment facilities for these creatures are
currently insufficient in the city of Biskra, Algeria. This opens up the possibility of
establishing a Veterinary Clinic. The domestic pet population in Biskra's metropolitan regions
has grown dramatically over the last few decades, creating a potential market for the
establishment of Veterinary Clinics.
This project is for the establishment of a Veterinary Clinic because of the huge number of
animals dying each year owing to infectious diseases, which lead farmers to lose money. The
clinic can be developed on owned or rented premises with a covered space of about 3,502 sq.
ft. It will provide veterinarian health care services as well as feed/nutrition consultation for
animals. The services will be expanded not just to farmers bringing their animals to the clinic,
but also to field trips to give on-site diagnosis and medicine.
Because early identification typically leads to accurate and effective treatment of the diseased
animal, a diagnostic laboratory will be created at the clinic to perform the necessary tests. The
project will include a fully equipped surgical suite as well as highly-trained surgical staff. A
registered veterinary compounder will also run a fully equipped pharmacy. For the purpose of
delivering standardized animal healthcare and support services, the initiative will employ 11
people
The livestock and poultry producers, carriage animal owners, and pet owners will benefit
from the following amenities as part of the project :
- Health Examination/Care
- Vaccination
- Treatment
- Minor and major surgery
- Feed/Nutrition Advice

2. Inspection Site :
The most essential phase in the feasibility study of a veterinary clinic project is the selection
of an appropriate site for the establishment of a clinic.
It is an animal specialty clinic that would be capable of handling all types of health issues,
diseases, surgical conditions, cardiac arrest, vehicle accident, poisoning, delivery
complications, malicious poisoning, snake envenomation, cosmetic needs, breeding
managements, and so on. As a result, it gains greater importance and should be located in the
city's main center, a location that is very ideal and is very accessible through any travel mode.
It must be ideally positioned in a permanent location that is easily accessible to clients, hence
the region where the veterinary clinic may be created is Biskra near the University of Biskra.
Biskra is located in Algeria's Biskra region, in the north-east. The city is roughly 248 miles
(400 kilometers) from Algiers, 71 miles (115 kilometers) southwest of Batna, and 137 miles
(222 kilometers) north of Touggourt. Because to its location at the entrance of the desert, she
is known as "The Queen of the Zibans," "The Door of the Desert," or "The Saharan Nice." It
is located in the northern Sahara Desert at an elevation of 87 m (285 ft).
Climate :
Biskra has a typical sub - tropical hot desert climate for the location in which it is placed.
Summers in the city are lengthy and exceedingly hot, while winters are short and pleasant.
Summer highs are one of the highest in the country, with temperatures that often approach
120 °F (48 °C) and are comparable to cities such as Luxor, Egypt.

3. Technological Examination :
4. Financial Review :
The financial study of any investment project is among the most risky steps that any investor
can go through, so the project manager must know all of the costs of the project and
determine the value of income for a specific period of time, in order to determine the
economic benefit and the percentage of loss expected in that period, and Understand the
project's operating costs, such as clinic rent, medications that may be provided, project
marketing, and maintenance, among other things.
To assess the financial viability of 'Veterinary Clinic,' a complete financial model has been
constructed. This section outlines several cost and income assumptions, as well as the
analysis's findings.
Capital Cost
Land 3,000,000
Working Capital
Cash 500,000
Total Working Capital 688,895
5. Socio-Economic Analysis :
Employment Contribution : With the opening of the veterinary clinic, it is intended to hire
staff, animal carers, permanent workers, and laboratory staff for patient records.
Educational Contribution : It is critical to note that Biskra University Veterinary Faculty
students will acquire both academic and practical training before graduation. It will also help
to ensure the qualified implementation of the "Veterinary Medicine Intern Training Program,"
which is part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine's education strategy. As a result of
receiving practical instruction from the competent teaching team, they will be able to succeed
more readily in the roles they will take after graduation.
Influence on Animal Health : The veterinary clinic will have a significant impact on the
treatment of sick animals as well as the care of critically ill animals. The ill animal will be
properly diagnosed using the clinic's technical equipment, and therapy and/or operation will
be conducted. It will be easy to access the clinic in an emergency.
Impact on Sick Animal Owners: Owners of sick animals lose their animals owing to a
shortage of veterinary clinic availability. The fact that the Biskra vet clinic is critical for the
animals that live in Biskra and adjacent provinces/districts.
Human Health Impact : Zoonotic illnesses account for 60% of all human infections. is
handed on from animals to people In this perspective, prompt care of ill animals is a factor
that directly influences human health.
Impact on Industry and Trade : It is expected that after the assessment and treatment of
sick animals at the veterinary clinic, the problems of animal owners will lessen and interest in
animal husbandry would rise in the region. This will have a good impact on the feed industry,
pharmaceutical sector, linked industries, and commerce.
6. Legal Review :
A license for a private veterinary clinic must meet the following conditions :
Its area shall not be less than 28 square metres.
It shall be equipped with health facilities, including water, electricity and sewage.
It shall be equipped with the necessary medical equipment, a treatment table and a
refrigerator.
It should be at least fifty meters away from the nearest veterinary clinic, and the
distance between the two nearest points is measured, with the exception of cases in which
a written approval is given from the previous owner of the clinic.
If the doctor suspects that an animal is infected with an epidemic or contagious disease, he
must inform the specialized veterinary medical center immediately. He must follow the
decisions and instructions issued by the Ministry regarding epidemic or contagious diseases ;
whether her infection is confined between animals, or common between humans and animals
It is prohibited to store or sell medicines in the clinic, as well as the sale of free samples, and
it is permissible to keep some medical drugs, provided that the purpose of this is to use it in
cases of necessary first aid and extreme need
The license to open the clinic is canceled if it is closed for more than six consecutive months
without an excuse accepted by the committee
7. Conclusion :
By analyzing the structure, facilities, financial aspect pf the pet clinic, it is assumed that this
unit will be technically feasible and economically viable.
