Inclusion Around the World

Name: Mealen Espinosa Date: April 17, 2022

Prog/Yr/Sec: BEED-1A Score:

1. Describe the specific disorder of Sarah.

Sarah suffers from celebral palsy, which is caused by brain damage. Cerebral palsy
is a disorder that affect a person's ability to move, balance, and maintain posture.
It is caused by abnormal brain development or damage to the developing brain,
which impairs a person's ability to control their muscles. A person with a disorder
like Sarah's may require special equipment to walk, or may be unable to walk at
all and require lifelong care.

2. In order to cope with her disability, what tool/facility is she using? Was it
effective?

Sarah used a wheelchair to cope with her disability; this tool was very effective,
especially for people with disorders like Sarah's, because wheelchairs are
especially effective for better circulation and health for those who have difficulty
walking and have been diagnosed. Furthermore, it gives the user the freedom to
move around, allowing them to engage in daily physical activity as they go about
their daily activities, increasing overall physical activity levels and day-to-day
mobility.

3. What do you think are her present and future challenges?

Sarah's situation is difficult for her because she faces numerous challenges. This
disorder causes problems with movement and posture, and some people also
have intellectual disability, seizures, and abnormal physical sensations or
perceptions, in addition to other medical disorders. She may also experience
problem behaviors such as dependency, being headstrong, hyperactive, anxious,
or prone to conflict with their peer group, or engaging in antisocial behavior.
Children with cerebral palsy may also experience emotional difficulties, such as
difficulties with their peer group and strong emotional reactions to new
challenges.

4. As future teacher advocating Inclusive Education, what is ought to be done?

I will assist them in identifying and developing their strengths as a future educator
advocating Inclusive Education. Understanding and accepting students for who
they are is essential in inclusive special education programs. This entails not only
assisting them in overcoming their weaknesses, but also assisting them in
identifying and developing their strengths. Some people believe that special
education needs are associated with lower intelligence, but this is not always the
case. Furthermore, provide the appropriate strategy training and
accommodations. Motivate and encourage employees. To achieve the same
results, students in special education programs must work harder than their
peers. School can be physically, mentally, and emotionally draining. That's why it's
critical to provide plenty of motivation and encouragement, particularly to
children who struggle with a difficult-to-see learning difference.
