8.6 System Physical Size and Weight

Each Secure 1000 scanner module measures 48.75 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and
79.5 inches high (123 x 92 x 202 cm). Removal of the roof (a 15-minute procedure)
reduces the depth to 33 inches (83 cm) for transport through narrow doorways.
Each Secure 1000 scanner module weighs approximately 1000 pounds (454 kg). In
addition, each Secure 1000 scanner module is mounted on casters, which enables two
people to push the scanner module across any hard and smooth surface.

8.7 Installation Space

The Single Pose System has a footprint of 66.3 inches (1685 cm) wide including the mat
and 99 inches (2514 cm) deep. An additional 24 inches (610 cm) is recommended at
the outer-facing side of each scanner module for service access, minimum 15 inches
(458 cm) required. (See Figure 8-7, Figure 8-8, and Figure 8-9).
At least 18 inches (46 cm) should be provided on the monitor-side of each scanner
module for unrestricted access to the input connection panel (See Figure 8-10).

8.8 Environmental Requirements

The Secure 1000 was designed for a storage temperature range of -20 to 50 C and an
operating temperature range of 0° to 40°C.
The Secure 1000 can operate in a relative humidity range of 5 to 95%, as long as
condensation does not form on the internal assemblies.

8.9 Removing the Scanner from the Wooden Crate

The Secure 1000 is generally shipped in a wooden crate. A fork lift is required to remove
the scanner from the crate. Perform the following steps to remove the scanner from this
type of shipping container
1. Unscrew and remove the front panel of the large crate.
2. Remove the two horizontal shipping braces (2 x 4s) screwed in from the outside
of the crate.
3. Loosen all the bolts on the top of the crate by about ½ inch to relieve pressure on
the top of the scanner.

4. Insert the forks of the fork lift at the points indicated by the symbol in
Figure 8-11. Ensure the forks clear the casters on the scanner.
