INTRODUCTION

Achievement test is most probably the very important area of appraisal for a guidance program
for the benefit of the individual. Scores on achievement test are excellent means for evaluating
educational (academic) attainments and for the individual in the concerned area of the subject
covered by the test. It involves a determination of how quickly, how accurately and at what level
an individual can perform the tasks taken to represent accomplishment.

Achievement test measures present proficiency, mastery and understanding of general and
specific areas of knowledge. Achievement tests attempt to measure what and how individual has
learnt, viz. his present standard of performance. Scores of achievement test indicate the academic
status of the individual learner in different subjects as a whole or individually.

Steps of preparing a blueprint:

To conduct an achievement test we have to follow some steps. Here prepares a blueprint for
social science and necessary steps have followed and questions also prepared accordingly.

From the above frequency polygon I can interpret that 42 students appeared in the class test. The
mark for the test is 40. Out of 40 marks -

 1 student got marks from the range of 5-9,


 6 students got the marks from the range of 10-14,
 8 students got marks from the range of 15-19 and
 Only 10 students got marks from the range of 20-24,
 6 students got marks from the range 25-29,
 6 students got marks from the of 30-34

The highest frequency is fall under the range of 20-24 and the lowest frequency is falling under
5-9 and 40-44. The statistical data of the test is given below:
