With this cover letter I would like to introduce myself to persuade you about the
advantages of having me in consideration for the position of Professorship in Political
Science at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics and a master’s degree on Political Economy of late
Development at London School of Economics. By an instinct of personal cosmopolitism,
my scholarly concerns have chiefly focused on development economics issues and have
matured enough to strengthen my academic expertise and my scientific background. Such
abilities have endorsed me a long-standing experience on adjusting both my teaching and
my scientific research program to entirely different academic approaches all over the
world (as you can check it from my Resume). An undeniable prove of that has been the
reward with the 2021 Professor of the Year Award thanks to my “large and solid
contributions for bringing the teaching of economics and social science disciplines closer
to all sort of students” awarded by the UCP.
Yet remain to be noticed my large record of academic papers on Economic Development
and Global Political Economy disciplines ranked at high-impact journals where I shed
original light on theoretical and practical controversies in areas such as Social Justice,
Global Inequality, and Public Welfare. Even though I hold an entire background on
Economics I am quite well-familiarized with Political Science´s issues as to what my
teaching and even my primary research have closely evolved around how the power
shapes the distribution of material resources within developing societies. Also, I usually
combine both an analytical methodology with social participation techniques to guide my
scientific work. For instance, in one of my papers recently published, I developed some
hypothesis to better comprehends under what circumstances basic education might fortify
microfinance impact on poverty reduction and healthcare provision by using econometric
database from an analytical rethinking on classical economic framework.
Your Faculty of Government, Economics and Social Science leaves little room to doubt
about its strategical position to professionally unfold my best academic background. For
being placed within an Arabic middle-income country, UM6P provides a great deal of
opportunities to working hand to hand the social and economic challenges that I am care
with. I can bring out my cosmopolitan style of dealing with social science disciplines,
that surely will enlarge students’ spirit and fortifying your strong academic community.
