Proposal

Objective

In this project, I want to study Nike’s marketing methods and analyze the reasons behind its
success. I will read‘Marketing 4.0’ as my theoretical support, and consult related cases of
Nike marketing, and refer to some related articles on the Internet. After the analysis, learning
its marketing methods can help me learn finance-related majors in the future, and I can also
broaden my knowledge. The focus of this article is on the practical application of marketing
theory, analyzing the specific operation methods of Nike’s business behavior, the reasons
behind it, and the effects it achieves. I also want to understand how Nike gradually attracts
people to become its loyal users and is crazy about its products. Regardless of the thesis
research topic itself, I can also improve my English ability through this project, cultivate the
writing skills of thesis, and the accompanying time management ability and project planning
ability.

Reasons

I am a basketball enthusiast, so I usually see stars wearing cool sneakers on the court, sweating
and scoring points and points, which makes me very excited. Therefore, I have a keen interest in
sneakers. When it comes to sneakers, the first reaction must be to think of Nike, the leading
brand in the sports equipment industry. I have to deny that Nike does have some achievements in
sneaker technology, but if it does not cooperate with its excellent marketing methods, it will
definitely not achieve its current reputation and performance. As I bought more and more
sneakers, I learned more about Nike's marketing strategies. When I deliberately noticed this, I
suddenly realized how clever Nike's methods are. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity
to make a more specific and academic summary and analysis of Nike’s marketing operations
through this thesis, which will also help my understanding of marketing theory and improve my
ability to write thesis.
