The Catholic church views leadership as a calling or charism whereby leadership is a gift to serve God and
humanity, and not for personal gain. The Catholic perspective on intelligent leadership is that it involves
treating employees equally and serving everyone, while collaborating with others for a common good.
Being a leader in Catholic education today is a privilege but also a tough challenge. To remain enthusiastic,
fresh and positive as a leader, you need regular opportunities to REST AND REFLECT, AND TO NOURISH THE
SPIRIT.
Because the lay faithful belong to Christ, Lord and King of the Universe, they share in his kingly mission and
are called by him to spread that Kingdom in history. They exercise their kingship as Christians… and then to
