DEC3500 Controllers connected with Remote Digital Panel(s)

(ref. schematic)

P-Gen parallel operation

Two Gensets equipped with DEC3500 Controllers in P-Gen paralleling mode operated remotely as a
system via one or more Remote Digital Panels.

Connect TB12 terminals of each individual generator:

 PGD(+) and PGD(-). Called P-Gen connections via a Communication Cable (standard available
length 50ft or 100ft). 120 Ohm resistors to be sourced locally.
 CAN(+) and CAN(-). J1939 CANBUS Connection via a Communication Cable (standard
available length 50ft or 100ft). 120 Ohm resistors to be sourced locally.
 Connect 7N terminals and P terminals (2 x single wire connections) to provide constant
power to the Remote Digital Display(s) also with one Genset functioning. Diodes to be added
to wires P7 and 7b.
Single wire connections and diodes to be sourced locally.

Connect 2 x standard 25ft, 50ft or 100 ft wiring harnesses to TB12 of one Genset.

Stand alone operation, not P-Gen connected !

Two Gensets equipped with DEC3500 Controllers in stand alone mode (no P-Gen connections),
individually and remotely operated via one Remote Digital Panel.

Start/stop functions of each individual generator via separate switches.

Remote Digital Display with solely a monitoring function.

 CAN(+) and CAN(-).J1939 CANBUS Connection via a Communication Cable (standard

available length 50ft or 100ft).
 Connect 7N terminals and P terminals to provide power to the Remote Digital Display(s)
from each generator set. Diodes (local purchase) to be added to wires P7 and 7b.
 Start/stop functions.
Connect to terminal 3 and 4 on TB12 for each individual Genset a locally sourced or yard
provided, normally open contact (switch). Start; contact Closed. Stop; contact Open or
activate cool down timer to stop the Genset.
