Project Description: This project will increase road and railroad stream crossing
conveyance capacity to reduce flooding and road overtopping at the Whaley & Main
Street intersection.
Current Status: Expected to move to design in 2022, pending the results of additional
conceptual alternatives analysis.
Cost: Approx. $8,000,000
11) Rocky Branch Bypass and Tunnel Feasibility Study (Council Districts 2 & 3)
Project Description: This project includes evaluation of a box culvert bypass system,
a pump system, and a deep tunnel system to alleviate flooding along Rocky Branch.
Current Status: Currently procuring consulting services.
Cost: Approx. $100,000 for feasibility study
12) Rocky Branch Stream Restoration (Council Districts 2 & 3)
Project Description: This project will include stream restoration of Rocky Branch
through Maxcy Greg Park to reduce erosion, improve stream health and increase public
enjoyment of the stream.
Current Status: Currently in the design phase.
Cost: Approx. $3,000,000
