SILWAY-8 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: A GLIMPSE FROM THE PAST

ABSTRACT
The primary purpose of this research is to trace the history of Silway-8 National High
School, the focus in particular would be from the time it started as an annex school
to becoming a mega school in the South Cotabato Division. Using a historical method
the school, the stepping forward to milestone with its breakthrough and innovation
and facing challenges to achieving rewards. Data were collected, examined, analyzed

what is written, what is said and what is physically preserved (Lemon, 1995). The
past is a source of experience. Through a historical research, one can have a clear
records of the history. The researcher choose to do this research paper because of

1987, during the celebration of teacher’s day Miss Eva Solis was crowned Mutya ng
