4. Discuss how mannerism art became an offshoot of works from the Renaissance. 
5. Explain why Neoclassicism served as a response or reaction to the Baroque

6. What do you think are the most important contributions of contemporary art as a
period and the numerous movements under in the lives of men today?

VII. ASSIGNMENT   

Pretend that you are a commissioned artist, and you are asked to create an
artwork (any form or medium) that depicts love. Using the different periods and art
movements in Western Europe as an inspiration, create an artwork based on the period
you chose. Give a short explanation about your artwork.

depicted – 5 points; and 
             Explanation – 5 points.  Total:  20 points
VIII. EVALUATION

Through a formal essay summarize the development of Art across our history.
Make sure to emphasize the various art movements by citing their important
characteristics such as historical background, factors, influential person, sociopolitical
issues and prevalent artists, and art forms and media.
