Very Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the district of North Gujarat region namely
Mahisagar; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Gir Somnath, Dwarka and Junagadh.

Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Sabarkantha,
Dahod, Banaskantha, Patan, Surat and Valsad; in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely
Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, Botad, Kutch and in Diu.

Rainfall occurred at most places over North Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch; at many places
over South Gujarat region during 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 06-07-2022.

SYNOPTIC SITUATION:-

♦ The Low Pressure Area lay over Kutch & neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation
extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists.

♦ The monsoon trough continues to pass through center of Low Pressure Area over Kutch &
neighbourhood, Deesa, Rajgarh, Siddhi, Ambikapur, Bhubhaneshwar and thence southeastwards to
Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

♦ The offshore trough at mean sea level from Gujarat coast to Karnataka coast persists.

♦ An eastwest shear zone runs roughly along 20°N between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea
level tilting southwards with height across North Peninsular India persists.
