Double Blessing- Isaiah 61:7

Isaiah 61:7  ^
Instead of your shame [ye shall have] double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their
portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be unto them

- Whatever you have right now, possession, money but doesn’t give you peace. It is not a blessing.
- It is danger!

Today we will know about blessing, if it from the Lord, or it is not.

- IF YOU WANT A DOUBLE BLESSING YOU NEED TO GET IT IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

sometimes IT IS A QUESTION TO US, LORD WILL YOU GIVE ME THIS BLESSING?

- OF course yes, because we are the Children of God.

It is not just in the RIGHT PLACE but in the RIGHT PERSON

And no person is the perfect RIGHT but JESUS.

1. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT double blessing is found in JESUS

- THE LORD is the ultimate source.

If you want blessing do not run directly to the blessing. Run to the source of blessing.

Today we will learn a man in the bible who had a chance to be with Jesus in almost 3 years.

PETER
 - Leader of the 12 disciples
- Has all the opportunity to be with Jesus
- When it starts?
 When peter went to fishing and had didn’t catch any.
 Jesus said, go back and catch fish, Peter said, Sir, I had all night but I didn’t catch any.
 Peter followed Jesus, and He catch many fish, even he called others to help him
 When Peter back in the shore he did not settle only to the fish, BUT peter get the point. He followed Jesus
 Peter was with Jesus and witnessed the miracles Jesus did
- Peter witnessed the miracles of Jesus, the dead who wake up
 Peter was beside of Jesus for 3 years
 To the point Peter also walked in the sea. Of all disciples only peter did that.
 The sad reality about Peter.
- When JESUS was arrested Peter made a Mess
- He denied Jesus
- Manday labanan ni Peter si Jesus but he ran away. And even deny

Sometimes we have this Mess in our life.

 Remember, before Jesus was arrested, Jesus knew that somebody will deny Him.
 Peter immediately said no, that He will not deny Jesus, that He love Jesus
 But Peter saw the Roman soldier. Peter denied Jesus
 Peter denied 3x

IF YOU WANT DOUBLE BLESSING…..

What to remember.

1. Don’t follow Jesus from a far. Luke 22:54

- When Jesus was arrested Peter followed Jesus but from a far.

- Peter followed Jesus but from a far.

- Peter saw everything happened to Jesus, he followed Jesus BUT, FROM A FAR.

* Sometimes we are like Peter

- Following Jesus from a far.

- If we have problems, we tend to solve it on our own,

- If we have what we are needed, we tend to forget Jesus

- Everything is different……. We turn to be complicated.

- If follow Jesus from a far. It is a danger ZONE

* What are the things that making us afar from the Lord.

- The old things in our life….

Maybe some of us here are making far to Jesus…

 What is the solution?

 Get near, Go back
- We sometimes get relax because endtimes are yet so far, but remember it might be happen and yet you are
not ready.

2. when you mess up Don’t give up.

- When you mess up, look up…

- Sometimes we are ungraded.

What Peter did? John 21:3…. I’ll go back fishing………..

Sometimes we are like this…. If we commit mistake we go back to our old life.

- When you think like this Satan if very happy

BLEESINGS- cannot penetrate if we are not ready…. If we are not ready to the greater blessing that God has preparing
us…

- We are too occupied from the past mistake..

- We are too occupied from our own selfishness
- We too occupied of greediness

If we Mess up, humble down to the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:9 – my grace is sufficient for you………….

- The time that we can’t see that it is our work, but it is for the Grace of the Lord.
- We sometimes feel WAEK

3. Don’t forget what you are destined for. ( You are destined for greatness)

The Lord will not forget you.

Sometimes we give up our dreams,

- Ambitions,
- Anointing
- Joy
- But God will not give up on us.

PETER- let’s go back to Peter, ( I’ll go back fishing)

- When Peter about to sail again, what did he saw? JESUS….. JESUS is waiting for Peter

Proof of love of Jesus- Lamentations 3:22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends.

- What did Peter do?

- Settled to everything to Jesus..
- Then what happen next?
- DOUBLE BLESSING STARTED…
- What happen, When Jesus went back to heaven, Peter was in charged
- PETER preached- 3000 people went back to the Lord
- 30 years of lame –was healed… Even peter did not touch.
- DOUBLE BLESSING….ANOINTING, AUTHORITY was in Peter
- Why? He delt with it.
- If you mess up, that is not the ending.
- If you mess up, deal with it and introduction of HIS power.

IF YOU WANT DOUBLE BLESSING BE READY, IT IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT IN THE RIGHT PERSON..
