The course is designed to impart specialized training in the techniques of

performance monitoring of bridges, condition assessment of bridges, repair and

for rehabilitation of distressed bridges and the bridge management system to the policy
makers and the practicing civil engineers. The course is useful for planning,

allocation of funds for various activities in the bridge management system. It is also
intended to make the participants fully aware of the entire spectra of know – how
regarding repair and rehabilitation of bridges.
This training on Quality Assurance, Health Assessment and Rehabilitation of Bridge
will include:
CSIR--CRRI Online
CSIR Inspection and Inventory of bridges using MBIU
Non-destructive testing of bridges
Training Programme Health monitoring of bridges using instrumentation
Signature analysis of bridges using vibration monitoring

2021--22
2021 Load testing and rating of bridges
Rehabilitation of bridges and their appurtenances including bearings and expansion joints
Bridge management system
