Chapter 1 – Unexpected Reunion

“Murderer!!!”

Takuya stared at the girl who was three years younger, glared at him. The eyes
that used to see him with admiration, the smile that used to appear just by
seeing him, it was all gone.

“Bring me back, my brother!!!!”

The girl shouted at Takuya as she dropped to the floor, her cries broke
instantly, sending knifes to Takuya’s heart, tearing it apart. Takuya just stood
there, didn’t even utter a single word. How could he? When he was the main
reason behind her brother’s death.

“I won’t forgive you..” The girl spoke between her sobbing as she lifted her
head to give Takuya a gaze full of hatred.

“I will NEVER forgive you..”

Closing his eyes, Takuya turned around and walked away. He ignored all the
shouts and curses the girl threw at his back, knowing that he had lost the right
to love that girl.

“….ter..”

“…. Master..”

“Young master!”

Takuya was pulled out of his own reverie as he gazed at the person who called
him out. The blonde man with glasses stared at him, clearly worried.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“Uh, yes.. Of course” Takuya answered.

“Are you sure?” Asked the man again, clearly he was feeling doubtful.

“Yes, stop worrying over every single thing, Jule” Takuya tried to convince his
personal assistant, Julian. However he doubted he did it that well since Julian
still cast doubtful look at him.

‘I still remember that moment as if it just happened yesterday’

‘I wonder how is Fenny right now’

Takuya mused as he stared at the financial report that was laid on his
expensive looking desk.

“Any report about Fenny?” Asked Takuya, still staring at the reports.

“There is” Julian said,

“And that is?”

“You should see it yourself” Julian replied, putting a folder on his desk.

Frowning in confusion, Julian opened the folder and read it’s content. Soon,
His eyes widened as he abruptly turned his gaze back at Julian.

“You..!!”

“Have you lost your mind?!” His tone was loud and high due to his anger that
rose instantly.

“I can explain, young master” Julian replied in calm manner.

Meanwhile..

“Are you sure about this?” Asked a woman who had long blonde hair that
reached to her waist, as she leaned against the marble wall of one of the girl’s
restroom in Saitome Office Building. Her blue sea colored eyes stared at the
woman who was combing her short dark hair.

“About what?” Asked the woman, putting back the comb into her bag.
“About your intention to get revenge” The blonde woman replied. “Fenny, you
used to love this dude.”

“I don’t love him anymore, Crystal.” Fenny said, looking so determined. “Not
anymore.”

Silent fell to the restroom for a few minutes before Crystal, the blonde woman
who had alluring body, nodded while sighing in resignation.

“Fine then.” She said. “Good luck”

Nodded back at Crystal, Fenny left with a smile. As she walked toward the
director’s room, Crystal who stood in front of the girl’s rest room stared at her
back.

‘..You see, Fenny..’

‘..Sometimes, old flames of love can reignite once again..’

‘I just don’t want you to get burned later..’

Crystal mused as she let out a sigh before walking back to her post in
Management Department.

“So THAT is your reason? Keeping her safe by accepting her as my secretary?”
Takuya asked in disbelief as he slumped back to his seat, feeling so tired all of
sudden.

“Jiro sama is watching her, I am afraid she will be in danger soon” Julian said,
“By keeping her close to you, Jiro sama would not be able to touch her”

Takuya sighed wearily as he rested his head while closing his eyes. Years had
passed since that incident that took the life of his best friend. Since that time,
Takuya had watched over Fenny from the shadow. He became her sponsor,
her daddy long legs.

During that time also, Takuya had refused to see her, read any news about her
and hear any details about her. All he ever ask was her health and her safety,
period. If he heard about the details of her life, Takuya might not be able to
take it. Especially if he heard about her love life, who was her friend or
something like that. He would get burned with jealousy.

Now, he had to deal with her in person. He had to spend his time being close
to her and Takuya didn’t know whether he would be able to make it through
the day.

“Are you afraid to see the hatred in her eyes?” Asked Julian who was watching
Takuya’s expression closely.

“No..”

Takuya answered In spiritless tone and it was the truth. He knew as well as
Julian that the Hatred she had for him would always be there, never
disappeared. After all, he was the one who killed Kaito.

“Then what is the reason for your refusal to have her as your secretary?”

‘I am afraid that I can’t control my own feelings’

Takuya answered in his thought but didn’t voice it out.

“Never mind, forget it” He said. “When will she arrive?”

“Soon..”

As if conjured by thought, a knocking sound could be heard coming from the

door and soon it was opened from outside. The moment Fenny entered the
room, time had slowed down for Takuya as he watched her walked toward him
and stopped in front of his desk.

“My name is Fenny Harumasa, from now on I shall be your secretary” Fenny
said in calm manner yet Takuya noticed the coldness in it.

Staring at the woman who stood before him, Takuya stared at Fenny as if this
was the first time he saw her.

Yes..
This would be dangerous for him..
Takuya didn’t know how to deal with this..

‘Kaito… Is this.. Your punishment for me..?’

 Chapter 2 – Mission Start!

‘After that incident, I made a vow’

‘That I will give up this love for vengeance’

‘He...., who I must detroy...’

“My name is Fenny Harumasa, from now on I shall be your secretary” Fenny
said in calm manner, staring at the sinfully handsome man in front of her while
couldn’t help to slip the coldness in his tone. He probably noticed it as well.

Both of them stared at each other for a quite long time. It as if time went still
at that very moment. All the laughter, the good time they used to have
together flashed in her mind as his velvet eyes cast it’s strong gaze. Finally the
silent broke when he opened his mouth, pulling Fenny back to the present.

“Long time no see” Takuya said, using the same cold tone as Fenny did just
now. He really DID notice it.

“Yes, I can see that you are living well. Mr. Saitome” Fenny politely replied.

‘Living shamelessly after killing my brother’ Fenny added in her mind.

“Indeed” Takuya gave her a cold smile and Fenny had to fight the urge to
curled her fingers into a fist.

“Are you sure you can handle the job, Miss Harumasa?”

“Of course” Fenny raised her chin a little, showing her pride “If I am not
confident, I wouldn’t apply to the famous Saitome Group”

Takuya nodded, his eyes never left her face. Even though she vowed to give up
her love for him, those velvet never failed stirring her heart. She was prepared
herself for vengeance and she realized how it was to kill her own feelings, but
she didn’t know how hard it was now.

“Okay, Let us see for two months. If you can handle me and the job, then you
shall get a permanent position as my secretary”

Fenny frowned in confusion. “Handle.. You, sir?”

A devilish smile appeared on Takuya’s face and it made him looking for
handsome than ever. Fenny cursed her heart for skipping a beat just by seeing
his smile.

“Yes, Miss Harumasa.. Handle.. ME. I am afraid during these two months, I will
make your life harder”

Fenny’s lips parted slightly in disbelief as she stared at the man who resembled
the devil so much at this very moment.

‘Brother, I wonder why I used to love this man’

Fenny mused inside. The man before her right now, just declared that he
would make her life harder. From now on, she would have a very hard battle
with the devil.

At the same time..

In front of the Saitome building, a woman with golden hair that was tied by a
rubber band stared at the building in front of her. Her blue eyes stoically gazed
at the building before it was covered by sunglasses.

“Vater .. Mutter .. Bitte Wünscht mir Glück” [Father... Mother.. Please Wish Me
Luck..]

The woman muttered softly in german as she turned around and walked away,
her right hand was holding a black bag.

“Ich werde diejenigen vernichten, die meine Eltern mit dem Hammer der
Gerechtigkeit getötet haben” [I will destroy those who killed my parents with
the hammer of justice]

Meanwhile.. Inside the one of the room in IT department..

Beep!

A beeping sound came from the intercom. A woman with long, light brown hair
pressed it and a voice spoke.

“Hey Mei Lin, have you done with the documents yet?”

The woman who sat in front of the many screens, surrounded by teddy bears
stared at the intercom before replying.

“eeeeh~?” she asked in confusion, her voice was just like a doll. “W-Which
documents sir~?”

A groan filled with annoyance came from the intercom. “Tch! The documents I
sent you two days ago! Dammit! This is the reason why I hate women who
work in IT. They are all USELESS!!”

Mei didn’t utter a word and the person kept on talking, “Just send it back!! I
will do it myself!! Got it?!”

“Ye-Yes Sir~” Mei responded, “I am so sorry~”

Beep!

The conversation was cut and Mei turned her head to the teddy bear that she
kept close.

“Luna.. That man said I am useless..”

“He is mean, isn’t he?”

“how can he say that to me..?”

Mei’s lips trembled before a giggle came out then turned to laughter. “Mean
people need to die, don’t they Luna~?!” Her eyes stared widely at the teddy
bear.
“Die Die Die Die Die Die Die DIE DIE DIE DIEEEEEE~ !!!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!”

Mei said while moving her fingers so fast that it was hard to see by normal
people’s eyes. The screen displayed what she was doing. She was sending back
the documents along with a small ‘gift’ to the man who just insulted her.

It just took a short moment before Mei tilted her head to the side and moved it
to another side while mumbling a song.

“One naughty bitch, coming down to town. Let’s kill her and have some fun~”

“Two naughty bitches, coming down to town. More killing and it’s very fun~”

She kept repeating the song over and over again while a ruckus could be heard
from outside of her room. It turned out, the man who just called her had his
computer hijacked by a virus and destroyed all the company’s important
documents.

“I need to do what Master Takuya wants me to do, Luna”

“Let’s start the mission~”

Chapter 3 – Uncontrolable Emotions

Three days had passed since the reunion between Fenny and Takuya and now
she became his secretary. She did all the work perfectly but something was
lacking. That something was none other than her boss, the director of Saitome
group. It had been three days and he didn’t even come to work. At first, Fenny
calmly waited for him, knowing that he did it on purpose. He DID say that he
was going to make her life harder, She just didn’t know it was this kind of
childish stunt.

Now here she was, standing in front of door of his penthouse. Fenny stared at
the black colored door for a while, feeling so nervous. Taking a deep breath,
Fenny pressed the pascode of the door.
“6.. 5.. 14.. 14.. 25” she muttered softly and used the spare card that Takuya’s
personal assistant, Mr. Julian Stanford, gave her.

Peep!

The sound came from the security lock as it opened the door, letting Fenny in.
The penthouse was exquisite as Fenny expected it to be but she didn’t expect
it to be so.. Lifeless. From what she remembered, Takuya was a warm person
and his favorite color was brown and blue. However, she didn’t see any of
those two colors here, It was all… Grey.

“Guess a person can change over time, huh” She muttered softly under her
breath. She couldn’t imagine the past Takuya lived in this penthouse but the
present Takuya, she somehow could imagine it.

Sighing softly, Fenny walked toward the bedroom where Takuya was. Inside,
she found him sleeping soundly. She could wake him up instantly, Oh yes she
could.. if the person who was lying on the bed so comfortably was not half
naked.

The moment she stepped into his bedroom, her steps faltered. Her eyes stared
at that deliciously well build body for quite a while before she took a deep
breath and shouted.

“GOOD MORNING, MR. SAITOME!! TIME TO GO TO WORK!!”

A soft groan came from Takuya as he slowly opened his eyes. As he adjusted
his eyes to the sudden light came from the sunlight that was piercing through
the window when Fenny slid the curtain, he gazed at his new secretary
sleepily.

“Good morning” He greeted her, casting a lazy smile that could make Fenny’s
heart raced.

“It’s time for you to go to work, SIR” Fenny said, tried to not be affected by his
smiled which it was so hard to do it. Any sane woman would be affected by
that sexy smile, not to mention the person who wore such smile was even
sexier.
Takuya chuckled softly, “I am taking a break from work, Miss Secretary” He
said and tilted his head, “If you want me to go to work, you have to try harder
than that”

Fenny let out a sigh of annoyance as she rolled her eyes, “Then what should I
do to make you want to go to work, Sir?”

“Try to come here and persuade me~” Takuya let out –once again—his devilish
smile as he move the cover that was covering half of his body, revealing the
black sweat pants he was wearing.

Seeing the man who looked like an incubus seducing its prey, Fenny closed her
eyes while taking another breath before opening it up again.

‘Dear God in highest heaven..’

‘Why does this man have to be so seductive?’

‘No, it is offensive to think of God in this kind of situation’

She mused before opening her mouth to speak.

“Sir, I am here to pick you up. Not doing indecent things with you” Fenny
warned him.

Instead of getting off the bed, Takuya lifted his hands and put it on the back of
his head.

“Why not?” He asked, clearly he was taunting her. “It’s better than going to
work, isn’t~?”

Losing her patience, Fenny took three strides toward the bed, grabbing the
glass that was on the small table next to it and splashed its content to Takuya’s
face.

“Have you woken up now?” She asked. Her tone was low, filled with anger.

Takuya stared at Fenny coldly. The smile on his face faded.

“You might think that this is a game but not me, Takuya. I am not here to play
games, especially not with a murderer like you” Fenny said coldly, hatred could
be heard clearly in her tone.
“Now stop acting childish and get yourself ready” She said, moving around the
bed, headed to the door but her step faltered when she heard cold laughter
coming from Takuya. Turning around, she could see Takuya getting off the bed.

“Games?” Takuya laughed once again, humorlessly.

“Of course not, sweet Fenny” Takuya called her with one of the endearments
he used to call her in the past. It made her heart skipped a beat and she was
annoyed of how she was still affected by everything he said or done.

“This is what you called, ‘Messing Around’..”

“You..!”

“I know, sweet Fenny” Takuya took one step toward her,

“about your intention..” He took another step closer,

“Of coming to Saitome Group” Takuya said as he took another step closer.

Feeling alerted by his movement, Fenny took a gun out of her bag and pointed
to Takuya. “Don’t come closer!” she shouted

Takuya stopped only for a brief moment before taking one more step toward
her, “Or what? You’re going to shoot me?” He taunted her.

“Yes!” Fenny gripped the gun tightly,

“Then shoot” Takuya said, his tone was dead, lifeless. It caught Fenny of guard
as she stared at Takuya in disbelief.

“What..?” She asked him,

“I said.. Shoot” Takuya took another step closer as he reached the tip of the
gun and pointed it to his chest, where his heart resided.

Fenny kept staring at his face as it became colder, “Shoot, Fenny. Pull the
trigger”

Fenny tried to, but somehow her body didn’t want to listen. Instead of pulling
the trigger like Takuya wanted her to do, Her hands were trembling instead.
Takuya sighed softly as he took the gun off her hands.
“If you want to take revenge, Fenny..” He said as he put the gun back into her
bag.

“There is one thing you should never forget” Takuya lifted his hand and used
his fingers to grip Fenny’s chin firmly.

“Don’t you EVER wavering in front of your enemy. Otherwise you won’t be
able to get your revenge on me for killing your dear brother Kaito, right?”

Hearing her brother’s name came out from Takuya’s lips, Fenny pushed Takuya
slightly and slapped him with all the strength she had.

SLAP!!

“Don’t you dare saying my brother’s name with your lips” Fenny said, her voice
was trembling, filled with rage.

Takuya snorted in mockery, “I will go to work. I am sure you know where the
door is, Sweet Fenny?”

Without utter a single word of reply, Fenny turned around and stormed out of
the room. Takuya stared at her back until it disappeared, misery could be seen
in the depth of his velvet eyes.

‘Good.. Run away..’

‘Don’t let me catch you..’

‘Keep pushing me away.. Hate me even more..’

‘So I can’t get close to you..’

‘..Because if I catch you..’

‘I won’t be able to let you go’

Fenny returned to the company. As soon as she arrived, Crystal was sitting on
the edge of Fenny’s desk, waiting for her.

“Where have you been?!” She asked in annoyance but her annoyance faded
when she saw the look on Fenny’s face.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” She asked.

Fenny shook her head, forcing a smile to appear on her face. “It’s nothing”

“Bullshit” Crystal said and gripped her hand, dragging her to the ladies room.

“Now talk!” She ordered as soon as she made sure no one was there and
locked the door.

Fenny didn’t say anything and Crystal sighed softly, clearly she was running out
of patience.

“Fenny” She called her out, her tone was strict like those older sisters had.

“..I can’t pull the trigger..”

Crystal frowned, “You what?”

“I can’t pull the trigger!” Fenny repeated, the tears she tried so hard to hold, all
came out in an instant.

“I know I should, I know that! But.. I can’t.. I CAN’T!!!” Fenny shouted and
broke down in tears.

Crystal didn’t ask for more details. She –more or less—had a feeling what
Fenny was talking about. Moving closer to Fenny, Crystal hugged her and
caressed her dark short hair over and over.

This situation was the reason why she asked her that question three days ago.
Crystal didn’t want Fenny to be trapped between love and hate. It would break
her.

Fenny on the other hand, still cried her heart out. She hated herself for not
being able to pull the trigger, feeling angry at her heart for wavering in front of
that man, feeling depressed because she might disappoint her brother up
there. All those feelings were swirling inside her like a storm, tearing her from
inside.

‘..Brother.. What should I do..?’

‘..It seems.. My heart still longs for that man..’

‘..What should I do..?’

‘..Please tell me.. Brother..’

Chapter 4 – The Bishop and The Knight

Years ago..

A young man was standing at the roof of one of the tall building in Tokyo. His
eyes stared at view beneath him, watching people passed by, living the night
life after working hard for one day.

The sadness in his face was reflected upon his eyes, knowing that today was
the last day he could enjoy such view. Something he had not realized it until
the moment arrived.

Drrtt.. Drrrtt..

The phone in his pocket vibrated and the sadness on his handsome face
became sadder when he saw who was calling him. Taking a deep breath, Kaito
slid his thumb on the screen and accepted the call.

“...Hello..” Kaito answered, his voice sounded distant, even to his own ears.

“Kaito!” The person called out his name, “Where the hell are you?!”

“Taku..” Kaito tried so hard to fight the tears that was about to come, “..I am
sorry, I have failed..”

“Tch!” The person called Takuya swore, his breath sounded so ragged, proof
that the person was running at the moment.

“Just answer me dammit!!”

Kaito wanted to answer his best friend’s question so bad but if he did then the
plan he and ‘that person’ set was all for naught. No.. He wouldn’t have it that
way.

“..Taku.. this is the end, I can't help you anymore.. Your father, he knows about
me being a spy, but he doesn't know that I am your spy, so you can go on.."
"Kaito, for fuck sakes! Just answer me!!!!!"

Closing his eyes, Kaito let tears rolling down his face. “Taku, please take care of
Fenny..”

Silent passed for quite a moment before Takuya responded to his words.
“What did you mean by that? Why I should be the one to take care of her?”

“..I have to disappear..”

“No..” Takuya responded quickly, “No.. Don’t do it, whatever the fuck that is,
DON’T..”

Kaito continued speaking despite the heaviness in his voice, struggling to keep
cool. “Please tell Fenny, I love her very much. She is the best sister in the
world.”

“Tell her that yourself!!!!!”

After a quick moment of silent, Takuya spoke but Kaito had to cut him. Gave
him a little crumb of clue so he could see the bigger picture. He was smart and
sharp, Kaito knew he could see it.

“I have to disappear, so Fenny can be saved”

Then more silent moment passed, it was longer this time. So long that Kaito
afraid his best friend was not there anymore.

“Taku.. you still there?”

“..Yeah..”

“Protect her” Kaito spoke, trying to be the cheerful Kaito, his best friend used
to know.

“Protect Fenny with your life. That is what you should do from now on. Don’t
you EVER let her get hurt or else I will haunt you forever.”

“Kai-“

“PROMISE ME!!!” Kaito demanded, knowing that his time was close.

“..I promise..”
Kaito could hear Takuya’s voice was breaking. He hated himself for doing this
to his best friend but he couldn’t trust any other man than Takuya to take care
of his sister.

“Then, goodbye.. My friend..” Kaito cut the conversation.

“Nice conversation, to think you can break his heart that easily.”

A voice spoke from behind, Kaito turned around slightly. There he saw a
blonde man standing with his gun pointed at him. He was none other than
Julian Standfort, Takuya’s personal assistant.

“Looks like Master Jiro orders you to kill me” said Kaito. “Well I am not
surprised. After all, you are the one who told him that I am a spy.”

“The King is in danger. Protecting the King by sacrificing the knight is a

common sense, isn’t it?” Julian answered coldly.

“heh.. You truly have the making of a Bishop” Kaito said, walking toward the
edge of the roof.

“Thank you”

“That was not a compliment”

“..I know..”

Silent passed between the two and it was broken by a question coming from
Julian.

“The letter you sent to Fenny. What was it?”

A smile, sinister yet noble, appeared on his face as he turned his head slightly,
looking at Julian from over his shoulder.

“A letter to change her into a Queen.”

Julian who had a feeling of what the letter was about, frowned. “You..” He
spoke,

“Are you trying to break them apart..?”

“Sadly, yes. I know you Jule, you won’t hesitate if Fenny becomes a liability.
That letter serves as a shield for my beloved sister. This was, she won’t be a
liability for Takuya or the plan we have set together.” Answered Kaito.

“But..! She is His life line!! Don’t you think it’s a bit a cruel of you to take the
one thing he loves the most?!” Julian protested.

“It won’t be for long. Yes, He has to suffer first but I have prepared a surprise
of my own, Jule.” Kaito replied in mysterious tone.

“A surprise?”

“A time bomb, It will explode when the time comes.” Kaito turned around to
face Julian and spread his arms wide to the side.

“Until then, enjoy your time carefully, Jule..” Kaito chuckled coldly, “I shall wait
for you in Hell. Make sure you come and visit me.”

With that, Kaito took one step backwards, killing himself. Julian just stared at
the place Kaito used to stand before closing his eyes.

Present time..

Julian opened his eyes, the tombstone with a Kaito Harumasa name on it,
came to view.

“Soon, Kaito. It won’t be long now. The plan we have set already taking place
and I… Will join you in hell.” He spoke softly and turned around, walking away
from the cemetery where Kaito’s tomb was built.

‘There is no room for guilt..’

‘There is no room for fail..’

‘Because the villain we must slay..’

‘is the worst villain of all..’

Julian spoke in his mind as he headed to the black Bentley that was parked
outside the cemetery.
“My job.. Is to make Takuya, a King. For that.. I will do anything..” He muttered
softly and stopped when he reached the car. His head was lifted, gazing at the
sky.

“This is my way of repaying you.. Chairman Tezuka” he said softly, a sad smile
was on his face.

Meanwhile… At secretarial department…

“Heave ho, Heave ho, Heave ho”

A woman with plain clothes muttered softly under her breath while carrying
two cups of hot coffee as she tried so hard not to fall along the way.

“Sakamoto san! This is your coffee! Black, no sugar!” Said the woman, putting
the cup on one of the employee’s desk.

“Good, go away now. You’re distracting me” Said the person called Sakamoto,
waving his hand as if shooing a disgusting animal.

“Yes, right away!” said the woman, fixing her thick glasses and walked away in
a hurry. She headed to another person who was not far from Sakamoto.

“Yuki San! This is your coffee, cream and sugar!” Said the woman, putting the
paper cup on the desk.

The person called Yuki glanced at the cup and turned to gaze at the dull
looking woman.

“What’s this? The cream is too thick! Are you trying to make me look fat?!”
Asked the woman who had alluring figure.

“eh? I think your weight is not going to increase because of the cream” The
dull woman rubbed the back of her head, looking so confused.

“It WILL increase! Don’t lump me in the same level as you, ugly yumi!”

Silent fell in that department, people giggled while whispering to each other.
“Ugly yumi, fit her so much huh~?”
“Ah..” The dull woman tapped her left hand fist on the palm of her right hand,
“Is that my nickname?”

“Hehehe, you don’t have to go all the way to compliment me~” The dull
woman gave a bashful expression.

Yuki gapped at her in disbelief, “Who complimented you?!”

“Oh right, I think your weight increased because of those sandwiches you ate
in the restroom” Said the dull looking woman cheerfully.

All eyes turned to the woman called Yuki while the person herself looked so
awkwardly shy, her cheeks stained in soft pinkish colour.

“Y-You! How dare you accuse me like that!”

“Huh? Accuse?” The dull looking woman tilted her head, looking even more
confused than before.

“Yes! You accuse me for sneakily eating in the rest room!” Yuki pointed at the
dull woman.

“I am not accusing, I was inside one of the toilet. When I opened the door, I
saw you eating the sandwiches happily. I want to ask what sandwich you ate
but you already left.” Explained the dull woman.

“come to think of it, you were eating four—“

“SILENCE!!! JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!” Yuki shouted, her cheeks
became redder now.

“I am? That’s why I never ask about those four—“

“shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Don’t speak anymore and go away!” Yuki ordered,
feeling frustrated.

“Y-Yes maam!” The dull woman turned around hurriedly and rushed away but
stopped abruptly as she returned to Yuki who was sitting behind her desk with
a scowl on her face.

“Oh by the way, May I know what’s the flavour of those four sandwiches?”

“GO AWAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!!” Yuki shouted in frustration.

“Aaaahh!! Yes Maaam!!!”

The dull woman ran away this time without looking back. She seemed didn’t
know that she had created an uproar and a new gossip inside the secretarial
department. The gossip that lasted more than… One… Month…

At the same time.. Somewhere in Tokyo, Japan…

“Is there any news?” asked a man who sat behind a large desk in the dark
room. His face looked at the person who stood in front of him, from the way
the person stood, it showed how the person was trained in military.

“Not yet. We have to wait a bit more, Sir”

“hmm.. For me to use HER as the last resort to deal with Jiro Saitome.. It
proves that that man is becoming a dangerous threat to this country..” Said the
man behind the desk.

“Yes, Usually we only call HER when the country is in grave danger. To think a
mere business man can make us call the famous ghost agent ‘I’ from her deep
slumber.”

“Jiro Saitome is more than just a mere business man. That man is a virus to this
country. I wonder if Agent ‘I’ can handle this by herself.” Said the man behind
the desk, doubt could be heard from his voice.

“Don’t worry, Sir” Said the person who was standing, “Agent ‘I’ will find a way”

“She will ‘use’ all the resources around her”

“I see..” Said the man behind the desk as he let out a soft sigh. “I just hope she
doesn’t turn Tokyo into flame..”

Chapter 5 – Dark Requiem

“You have three appointments today, sir”

Fenny announced it, as she read the schedule for Takuya in his office. Her eyes
stared at the screen of her tab as she slid her finger on the wide screen.

“The place?”

Takuya asked, his eyes were fixed on the financial reports and moving his hand
to sign it after a few moments of reading.

After what happened between them few days ago, both Takuya and Fenny had
been putting up walls for each other. They greeted each other politely but the
tension between them was still there, never disappeared. Instead, it seemed
growing despite the courtesy hey both shared to each other.

“Conrad Hotel, Sheraton Grande Hotel and Park Hotel, Sir” Fenny answered,
“You will meet with Mr. Shuin Yoshikawa at Conrad Hotel on 1:30 PM, With
Mr. Francis Lawrence at Sheraton Grande on 3 PM and Mrs. Clarise Robinson
at park Hotel on 5 PM.”

Takuya sighed softly, lifted his gaze to Fenny. “That’s so packed, are you trying
to kill me?”

Fenny gave him a saccharine smile, “That’s what you get for ‘Messing around’,
Sir”

Even though it was a sarcasm, Takuya couldn’t helped but staring at her smile.
His velvet orbs moved from her emerald eyes to her nose, down to her lips and
stayed there.

Those lips were decorated in baby pinkish colour, covered in gloss. Takuya
wondered what was it like to kiss those small yet delicious looking lips, would it
taste as sweet as he imagined it? The hunger he had been repressing grew and
it showed from the depth of his velvet eyes.

Fenny noticed it as well. Her smile slowly faded when she felt the weight of his
stare and her body trembled softly with anticipation. She, who was struggling
between her hatred and her love for the man before her, took a step
backward.

“D-Do you need something, Sir?” asked Fenny, trying to break the sensual
tension that was hanging heavily in that room.
Forcing his eyes to turn away from Fenny’s lips, Takuya focusing himself to
read the report that was laid on the table.

“No, You—“

Takuya’s words were cut by Julian who entered the room all of a sudden and
walked in fast pace toward Takuya and stopped at the side of his table.

“We have news” Julian said, his face showed that whatever the news he was
going to say, it was something serious.

Fenny noticed it and calmly moved to Takuya’s table “Shall I take these
reports, Sir?” Asked Fenny, her hand extended to the pile of reports that
Takuya had signed.

“Yes, Thank you” He said

Fenny took the pile of reports and as she put it in her other hand, she dropped
it on purpose.

“Oh, I am so sorry, Sir” Fenny said, sneakily took a small listening device that
Crystal gave her and stuck it under Takuya’s table.

“Do you need help, Miss Harumasa?” asked Julian, his blue eyes sharply stared
at her.

“N-No Mr. Standford.” Fenny quickly gathered the reports and left the room
under the heavy stare of Julian Standford.

Closing the door, Fenny rested her back on the door, panting softly as she tried
to calm her heart that was racing due to adrenaline. Now she knew a little bit
about her brother’s feeling as a spy. The mixture of excitement, fear and
danger was exhilarating.

Fenny just hoped that Julian didn’t realize what she did just now or else her
plan to destroy Saitome group would be all for naught. Moving to her desk, she
started listening what both Takuya and Julian were discussing inside the room.

“Tokyo International Hotel?”

Takuya asked, staring seriously at Julian.

“Yes. There will be a meeting there, looks like Jiro sama summoned the ‘Four
Pillars’ to discuss something.”

“Then they will use the Chrysantheum Room again.”

Takuya guessed, knowing that in the deep of Tokyo International Hotel, a

special room existed for secret meetings. Chrysantheum Room, that’s what it
was called, the place where his father met with his business partner and the
‘Four Pillars’, four people who were loyal to Jiro Saitome.

“That room is located deep inside the hotel, near the suites for VIPs and its
secured tightly” Takuya voicing his concern.

“You have HER as a backup plan” Julian said

Takuya knew who Julian meant by HER. The woman who stayed by his side
even though he already told her that he couldn’t love other women. In his
heart, there was no place for other women because a special one had entered
and claimed it as her own.

Thinking it for a while, finally Takuya nodded even though he looked reluctant
about it. How could he not? He was taking a woman’s love for granted. Takuya
was really disgusted at himself sometimes but a man had to do what a man got
to do, even though he would be called heartless bastard, bring his father down
was the top priority. His main goal in life.

Sighing wearily, Takuya reached his cell phone and slid his thumb on the
screen. After a short moment of touching icons here and there, he put the
phone to his ear.

‘I’ve decided to be a heartless man who will do anything to bring my father

down’

‘I have to do it until the end’

‘No matter how thorny the path is..’

“Taku-san? It’s rare for you to call me first”

A sweet and elegant sounded voice spoke from the other side. The tone she
was using showed how happy she was to receive his call. That only weighing
Takuya’s heart even more, knowing that he only called the woman only to use
her in the end.

“Yuki, I need to speak to you about something” Takuya said, his tone was
polite and formal.

A few moment of silent passed before the woman called Yuki replied to
Takuya’s words.

“Is there another mission for me?” She asked, using the same polite and formal
tone as Takuya but he could notice the disappointment in it.

“Yes, I want to have dinner with you”

“Eh?”

Yuki seemed to be caught off guard by Takuya’s words. Takuya couldn’t blame
her for it.

“Dinner? What are you—“

“Have dinner with me, Yuki” Takuya said, decided to use a gentle tone. “That
Dinner will the mission and as lovers, I hope you can help me”

Another moment of silent passed by, it was short this time and when Yuki
replied, her voice returned to be sweet and elegant.

“Okay, as your lover, I will help you”

“I will pick you up at 7 PM and we will discuss the details along the way”

“Okay, see you later Taku-san”

The conversation ended. Putting his cell phone on the table, Takuya turned his
gaze back at Julian who didn’t show any kind of emotion on his face. Probably
because he already knew what kind of feeling Takuya was in at the moment
and giving a comment only making it worse.

“Call Mei and tell her to be prepared for a mission.” Takuya ordered.

“Yes, young master”

Julian bowed slightly and walked to the door in fast pace. However, he stopped
for a quick moment, glancing over his shoulder before opening the door and
left the office.

Alone in his office, Takuya rested his back as a soft sigh escaped his lips. Slowly
his eyes were closed, giving Takuya some peace to his mind before attending
his appointments.

Souho Prosecutor Office..

A blonde woman was reading a report, the picture of a bald man was there.
Her eyes stared at the man coldly as a name escaped her lips.

“Jiro.. Saitome..”

This man was the man who started the shooting in Vienna, he was not the
shooter though, but another man did. A man whose face she would never ever
forget.

Pip Pop Pip Pop!

The blonde woman turned her eyes away from the report and stared at her
cell phone instead, it was ringing and a faint smile appeared on her stoic face
when she saw it was from private number.

“Hello” The blonde woman answered “ich habe auf dich gewartet“ [I have
been waiting for you]

“Sorry, there are some difficulties” said the person on the other side of the
phone.

“Difficulties?” The blonde woman frowned, “What kind?”

“Thanatos has moved differently now, probably they’re sensing more eyes
have been watching them”

“They are sharp indeed” The blonde woman nodded, “So? You call me only to
tell me this?”
“Who do you think I am? Of course not” The caller said, chuckled in heavy
voice which the blonde woman knew it was caused by a voice changer.

“Then what?”

“Jiro Saitome has summoned the ‘Four Pillars’ and ‘Twin Shadows’ will be
there as well.”

“Any idea what’s the summoning about?”

“None, hence the reason why tonight, you should be prepared for infiltration”

The blonde woman nodded, “tell me the place”

“Tokyo International Hotel, there is a special meeting room deep inside that
Hotel, called Chrysantheum Room. It is guard tightly so I will make a slight hole
for you to slip in, be prepared”

The blonde woman stood up “See you there”

“hmph.. You know our deal, I can’t show myself”

“Then how do I know you will be helping me?” asked the woman, slightly
annoyed.

“I have sent things you need to your apartment.” Said the caller, “you’ll
understand once you see it.”

“Very well” The woman took her bag and jacket.

“Until tonight, Denise Doppler”

The blonde woman smirked, “Until tonight”

Ryuzakura Hospital..

A man, wearing a white lab coat was walking along the hallway of Ryuzakura
Hospital, nodded to patients who greeted him with a cool nod. However his
steps faltered when someone called him from the end of the hallway.

“Doctor Haruken!”
A male nurse ran in small steps toward him, “We have an emergency!”

“What is it?” Asked the man. His voice was a cool as his face.

“A man has an open fracture on his right leg, he needs surgery immediately!”

“Atsushi!”

Another person called him, this time was a fellow doctor judging by the
clothes.

“What is it?” Asked Atsushi.

“you heard about the open fracture patient?”

“Yes.”

“Well another one came in just now, open fracture on both legs. There is no
sign of pulse n his feet. I think he needs amputation both of his knees. He also
has lacerated wounds on his scalp and severe abrasion on his back” said the
fellow doctor.

“How big?”

“10 Palm”

“Very well” Atsushi lifted his hand to fix his glasses and was about to walk
when a ringtone rang from his phone.

PIKA PIKA~!

The hallway instantly fell into silent and all eyes were directed at Atsushi who
seemed not showing any sign of being flustered. The male nurse and the fellow
doctor looked at him, looking so dumbfounded.

“er.. Atsushi..” The fellow doctor called out to Atsushi who was reading a text
that came from Yuki, his childhood friend.

“What?” Atsushi respond, his eyes were still at the text.

[From : Yuki]

[I can’t go with you tonight, have dinner with Takuya]

“Err.. your ringtone just now..” said the doctor.

“What of it?” Atsushi tap his fingers to reply the text from Yuki.

[To : Yuki]

[Takuya? No, you have your appointment with me first]

[I refuse]

“er.. well.. isn’t the sound just like.. er.. Pokemon..?” Asked the doctor.

“Yes, it’s a pokemon” Said Atsushi calmly before the ringtone once again
echoed in the hallway. “And..?”

PIKA PIKA ~!

Atsushi’s eyes narrowed slightly, his nerve twitched as he read the text.

[From : Yuki]

[This is not a negotiation, I have to cancel. Period]

Taking a deep breath, Atsushi let it out slowly. The male nurse and fellow
doctor thought that it was because of them that Atsushi looked so annoyed,
they looked frantic and decided to calm Atsushi down.

“Never mind, doctor!” Said the male nurse.

“yeah! Everyone has their own taste!” said the fellow doctor.

“Let’s go” Atsushi said and walked ahead of them. His heart filled with jealousy
at the moment.

‘Once again.. always Takuya..’

Tokyo International Hotel.. Lobby..

“Stop looking so nervous, Fenny” Crystal reprimanded Fenny who sat across
her.

“Sorry, can’t help it” Fenny apologized and once again glanced at the Hotel
front door.

Crystal sighed softly as she took a glass filled with Tomato juice from the
expensive looking glass table.

“I know you can’t help curious of who this Yuki woman is but—“

“I’m not curious about that!” Fenny denied, however her face showed the
opposite of her words.

“Oh yes you are” Crystal put the glass back on the table, “You should see your
expression right now on the mirror”

Fenny didn’t say a word of reply, she looked down instead, staring at the glass
table, wondering what was her face like and what it showed to make Crystal
said the words.

Though, she admitted inside that she was curious of the woman who Takuya
called in the afternoon. Her heart –surprisingly- burned in jealousy to hear
Takuya used gentle tone on that woman. The tone that used to be directed at
her in the past. She still remembered it clearly, how Takuya used to call her,
how his gentle tone could send pleasure shivers down her spine, the way he
laughed, the way he smiled, everything. Now.. That ‘Everything’ belonged to a
woman called Yuki.

“There he is”

Crystal’s voice pulled Fenny from her deep thought. Following Crystal’s eyes,
Fenny turned her head and what she saw was something she didn’t expect.
Takuya entered the hotel with a VERY gorgeous looking woman. Her posture
showed the elegance that came from within, clearly it was practiced over the
years and people could tell just by one glance, she came from wealthy family.
However, what made Fenny’s heart ached was the fact that Takuya and the
woman looked so good together.

‘..As expected..’
‘..A prince.. will always exist for a princess..’

‘..Not for some commoner girl..’

Sadly, that’s how the world ruled. Someone from different status would not be
able to enter a higher status, no matter how many times you tried and seeing
Takuya and the woman who he kept closed by his side, Fenny finally admitted
the harsh reality that was laid before her.

“are you okay?”

As Fenny turned her eyes away from Takuya to meet with Crystal’s, she could
see worry in it. Forcing to smile, Fenny nodded, trying to look okay.

“Of course”

“Okay then” Crystal nodded after giving a moment of silent. She knew full well
that Fenny was hurt seeing the man she –even though she won’t admit it—
loved, with another woman. Not to mention –Crystal admits— the woman is a
fine feather of a bird.

‘looks like tonight will be a very long night..’

Crystal mused, staring at Fenny who –once again—turned her eyes to Takuya.

“Hey, isn’t that Takuya Saitome and Yukina ‘The Snow Goddess’?”

“What a perfect couple. According to rumor, they are going to marry soon.”

Takuya ignored the whispers like usual. It was not important for him, what was
important was the mission tonight.

“Mei, are you there?” He asked, speaking softly.

“Yes, Sir~!” Answered the person who spoke through a small earpiece that was
in Takuya’s left ear.

“Any sign of the Four Pillars?”

“Nope~ Not yet~”

“Keep your eyes opened” Ordered Takuya.

“Righty-O~”

“They say we’re going to get married Taku-san” Takuya’s attention was
dragged back to the blue hair woman who stuck close by his side. Her face was
decorated by light blush.

Takuya smiled and leaned closer to whisper on her ear, “Do you want us to get
married, Yuki?”

Yuki’s eyes widened and the blush that was staining her white skin became
redder.

“T-Taku San..”

Yuki replied in flustered, “Please don’t tease me like this”

“Then it’s okay if I don’t tease you~?” He chuckled softly and pulled Yuki even
closer that they practically glued to each other. Takuya’s lips captured Yuki’s
and moved, biting and kissing her with such technique that could melt a
woman’s leg.

And it did, Yuki wrapped her arms around Takuya’s neck the moment her legs
turned to jelly. Breaking up the kiss, Yuki stared at Takuya dreamily.

“Taku-san..”

Takuya smiled, “You need a lot to learn, Yuki. How can you be an actress if a
kiss like this can knock you up”

“I think your technique is too perfect, Taku – San” Replied Yuki shyly.

Their conversation however was cut by Mei who spoke from the earpiece.

“I want to say ‘Get a room people’ but it can wait, young master! The Four
pillars have arrived!”

Takuya’s eyes glanced to the door when four person walked in. One was
wearing a white coat and had two colors on his hair, black and red. One had
the same white coat but his hair was deep blue sea. He wore black gloves and
had a square glasses frame decorated his face. Another one had light brown
hair and menacing face with a black choker on his neck. The last one was a
woman, wearing a very sexy purple dress and had a green hair.

“That’s them alright” Takuya spoke softly, “Yuki, let us go”

“Yes, Taku-San”

At the same time…

“Fenny, Let’s go” Crystal stood up.

“R-right” Fenny replied, standing up and walked with Crystal. She saw the kiss,
oh yes she did and it hurt her a lot. They just like a couple who was madly in
love with each other.

“Get your head in the game, Fenny” Crystal’s warning pulled Fenny from her
sorrowful thought.

“I know, I was just shocked, nothing more than that”

‘Yes.. Nothing more than that..’

Denise who was sitting slightly far from where Crystal and Fenny were sitting
stood up.

“It’s me” Denise spoke after touching the small earpiece in her ear.

“I noticed two persons who are targeting the Four pillars, both are women”

“pay attention to them, use your glasses to find any information about them.”
Said the person from other side.

“Verstanden“ Denise said and decided to follow the blonde hair woman when
a short dark hair one headed another way.

“Hmm..?” Mei looked at the screens in front of her. Her eyes moved from one
screen to another.

“One.. two.. three..” She frowned, “.. No.. These two is one group it seems and
the last one is going solo..”

“What is wrong, Mei?”

Takuya’s voice could be heard coming from her headphone.

“Nothing Sir, Just my imagination~”

“Be focus” Takuya warned her.

“Roger that~” Mei smirked.

‘So other parties are targeting that baldy, huh?”

‘Now this is interesting~”

She mused, taking a bottle of coke and drank it. “Come, come~ Let the party
begin~”

“Here”

Crystal who was in one of the ladies room, gave something to a woman. It was
a small listening device, the woman took it from her hand and looked at her.

“This, I hope I won’t get sacked because of this matter”

Said the woman who wore a hotel uniform. Her face showed the same concern
as her words. Crystal smiled and pulled her closer by the waist, her eyes stared
at the woman’s hungrily.

“You said you will help me, Karin~” Crystal said, her free hand caressed her
body softly, reaching down to her skirt.

“Ah..” The woman called Karin moaned softly, her body grew closer toward
Crystal who gave small kisses to her opened neck.
“Keep your promise, Karin” Crystal murmured as her hand reaching down to
Karin’s panties and played her fingers there.

“Mmm..~ Crystal..” Karin bit her lower lip, closing her eyes due to Crystal’s
sensual attack.

A smirk appeared on Crystal face and a soft chuckle came out from her lips as
she licked the woman’s chin,

“And I will keep my promise to love you all night~” She whispered in alluring
tone.

Crystal suddenly stopped her fingers and pulled her hand from under the skirt.
Karin stared at her, clearly annoyed that Crystal did that on purpose. Seeing
Karin’s annoyed expression, Crystal laughed softly.

“I will continue after this mission, darling”

“Geez you two..”

A voice came from the ladies room door, Fenny came in wearing a hotel
uniform. Her face looked annoyed, scowling at both women who were older
than her.

“Can’t you both wait until later?” She asked, crossing her arms beneath her
bosom.

Crystal grinned naughtily, “Sorry have to seduce my woman first”

Turning her gaze back at Karin, “Go now or you won’t have time to get that
device in place.”

“Right, let’s go Fenny-San” Karin said walking out of the ladies room. Fenny
followed the pink hair woman while Crystal licked her slightly wet fingers.

“Now then, Let’s see what they are going to talk about” Crystal said and
entered one of the stall inside the restroom after putting ‘Out Of Order’ sign in
front of it.

Denise who was hiding when Fenny entered the ladies room, came out and
touched the ear piece in her ear.
“looks like another group is going to infiltrate the place. We can’t use the plan”

“No worries, I have a backup plan” said the person from the other side,

“Go to the front desk to get a card key to one of the suite, Inside that room,
you will find something you need to activate”

“Very well”

With that answer, Denise headed to the front office. Her mind wondered
about the person who never showed his figure to her. At first she was
suspicious but after making a deal that the person would show his figure after
certain things met his condition, Denise bet on that. Her gut told her that she
could trust the person and Denise always believe on her gut.

Chrysantheum Room…

Fenny and Karin arrived and the four pillars were already inside the room. As
expected, the room was tightly secured. Going up to the 9th floor, Fenny had to
walk along a long hallway and she met with two guards who were unlike
normal guards. Their eyes told Fenny that they were more than ready to kill an
intruder rather than catching it. It sent shivers down her spine in a very
displeasing way.

After meeting the two guards, another two guards were waiting in front of the
room and Fenny caught a glimpse of more guards hidden among the shadows
of the hallway. It was very suffocating or her to breathe calmly here.

“Hey!”

A voice pulled Fenny from her own deep thought and when she came to her
senses, one of the pillars was staring at her. The man with light brown hair and
a black choker around her neck.

“Eh? Me?” Fenny replied innocently, blinking her eyes a few times.

‘Oh no.. I should get my head in the mission!’

“yeah, you! Who else huh?!” said the man with light brown hair. “Are you
going to just stand there like an idiot bitch?!”
“My apologies, Sir” Karin took over, “This person is new.”

“M-My apologies” Fenny bowed nervously, This was the first time for her to
meet people who –according to Crystal’s network—were underground people.
They indeed had a terrifying aura, darkness could be felt radiating massively
from their body.

“Heh, well she is pretty stupid for someone new” The man replied. “You, stupid
bitch, pour me a drink”

A sigh could be heard and it came from the glasses man who was sitting across
the light brown hair man.

“Blitz.. Stop saying stupid bitch all the time. That woman has a name”

“Ohh~? What’s this Frost? Don’t tell me you interested in her?” Blitz smirked
taunting the glasses man who was called Frost while his glass is filled with
water by Fenny. Fenny thought the name fit him exactly. Those blue eyes that
just like the cold deep blue sea, it held no emotion in it.

“How foolish” Frost replied, “Such woman won’t arouse me”

This time a giggle could be heard and it came from the woman who sat next to
Blitz. The woman was beautiful, well not as beautiful as the woman who
Takuya brought with him, but least they could be rivals. The difference was,
this woman’s beauty was somehow dangerous.

“Frost is really cold~ I always wonder what kind of woman who can arouse
such man~” said the woman in purple dress.

“Hoo~ Are you interested in Frost, Ivy~?” Blitz grinned, clearly curious.

“I would like to try ~” Ivy smiled sweetly, so sweet that it looked poisonous.

“Hmph..” The man who had two colors on his hair opened his mouth. “I think
Frost will decline, After all.. having sex with you is like having sex with death”

The woman laughed melodically but to Fenny’s ears it was more like an evil
queen’s laughter.

“Indeed, He won’t know which part of my body that are poisonous, Blaze”
“Hah!” Blitz laughed shortly, “All of your body are poisonous Ivy. According to
my network, the last time you have sex is with the CEO of Reignhertz company
and now he is in a coma”

Blitz grinned at the woman, “I really want to ask him which part of your body
he touched to make him like that~”

“Fu Fu Fu Fu ~” Ivy chuckled inwardly, “It’s his punishment for making Jiro
sama angry~”

“Which led to my question, Where is Jiro sama?” Frost said and glanced at the
clock that was hanging on the wall.

“It’s not like him to be this late”

“hmm.. True, Don’t tell me something happened to him” Blitz stood up.

“It’s highly unlikely, The Twin shadows are by his side 24/7” Blaze said,

“True, They are on higher level than us.” Frost agreed.

“Please enjoy your time” Karin’s voice could be heard. Her eyes stared at
Fenny, signaling her that the mission was accomplished. Fenny understood
that and walked toward Karin as both of them bowed to the Four Pillars.

However, just as they turned around and was about to leave the meeting
room, they were called by Ivy.

“Hold it” Ivy said, “You newbie.. Have I seen you before?” She asked.

Turning around, Fenny gave her best innocent smile. “No, Ma am. I have never
met a beautiful woman like you in my life”

“Oh My, you have way with words~” Ivy sounded pleased by the words, “You
may leave now~”

“Please excuse us” Karin once again bowed and when she was about to leave,
the door was opened in front of her and Jiro Saitome came with two person at
his side.

“Oh! My apologies, Sir” Karin frantically bowed and Fenny –in order to hide her
face—bowed as well despite her hatred toward the man.
“Be careful next time” Jiro said and entering the meeting room. The Four
Pillars stood and bowed deeply toward Jiro.

“Welcome, Osiris Sama” They said at the same time and that was all Fenny
could hear before Karin dragged her away from the room and closed it.

“Let’s go” Karin said and they’re about to head to the lift when someone
caught Fenny’s wrist.

“There you are, sweetie~”

Fenny’s heart beat faster upon hearing the voice. Turning her head, she saw
Takuya was smiling at her.

“I was looking for you, you know” Takuya’s smile became wider as he pulled
Fenny close.

“Um, Sir.. that woman is new employee and—“

“I know this woman, Let me borrow her for now. Come now sweetie, You have
made me looking for you so hard. Such a naughty woman~” Takuya dragged
Fenny toward the hall that led to the suite rooms for VIPs.

“N-No.. W-Wait! L-Let me go!” Fenny tried to struggle but Takuya’s grip
became tighter.

Karin just watched them leave, no words she could muster to save Fenny.
Though she knew who she could go to solve this.

‘I should let Crystal know!’

Inside one of the Suite room..

Slam!

Fenny was slammed to the bed once Takuya locked the door. Fenny stood up
in anger.

“You bastard! What do you want by bringing me here?!”

Takuya loosened up his tie with one hand while his other hand was inside the
pocket of his black trousers. Just by a small action he did, Fenny couldn’t help
but admitting how sexy Takuya was at the moment.

“What do I want?” Takuya asked, his deep voice became lower. A sign that
showed how furious he was.

“That’s supposed to be my question, sweet Fenny”

“Stop calling me with that endearment!” Fenny shouted in anger.

‘Not when you already have another woman by your side’

Fenny added bitterly in her mind.

“Then should I call you, Dear Fenny?” Takuya took one step closer toward her.
Fenny’s anger dissipated, her face slowly became flustered.

“No..” Fenny muttered and moved fast to the door but it was futile, Takuya
managed to grab her arm and pinned her to the wall. Fenny yelped slightly and
found her hand was pinned above her head.

“Let me go!” Fenny shouted.

“What are you thinking, Fenny?” Asked Takuya who was towering over her
small body. Well it was small compared to Takuya.

“I thought you know why I entered the Saitome group?” Asked Fenny in
mocking tone.

“I know but I would have never thought that you will do something as reckless
as this. Do you know who are those people in Chrysantheum Room? Those
people are Underworld Generals who worked under my father’s command.”

“And?” Fenny asked in daring tone and she wished she didn’t use it because
The tone caused sharp glint to appear in Takuya’s velvet eyes.

“Meaning, there is a high probability that they know your face.” Takuya
answered in serious tone.

“I don’t care!”

“…I care..”
Fenny froze, her eyes stared at Takuya’s serious expression. Takuya wasn’t
lying, that expression, he seriously cared about her. But why? Why did he care
about a woman who was trying to destroy him and his father? Why?

“Yo.. You’re lying..” Fenny said, even though she knew he wasn’t lying, that
was the only thing she could say as a reply.

“Am I?” asked Takuya, his face leaning closer to Fenny.

“Do I look like lying to you, Fenny?”

“..No.. Don’t come closer..” Fenny protested but it sounded weak even to her
ears.

‘No.. I can’t let him kiss me..’

‘No.. I have to run away fast..’

‘He is the man who killed my brother’

‘I have to destroy him and his family’

‘I have to..’

However, the moment Takuya lips touched hers, all reasons and warnings left
her mind, lost in Takuya’s torrid kiss. Even after Takuya let her hand go in order
to unbutton her blazer and shirt, Fenny didn’t run away. Instead, she wrapped
her arms around his neck.

“..Fenny..” Takuya whispered her name huskily before kissing her again.

Lips against lips, tongue against tongue. Both of them shared wet kisses, drunk
because of it, thirsty for each other. It wasn’t enough, maybe it would never be
enough. Fenny wanted more of him, she wanted more from him.

“Takuya..” Fenny moaned his name when Takuya’s lips found its way to her
breast. He played with it, tasting it and it became rougher due to Fenny’s
moans.

Low growl erupted from Takuya as he returned to her lips to give her more
kisses. Fenny was totally pressed to the wall by Takuya’s large body. It felt
perfect, as if they were created for each other. Fenny shivered when she felt
how turned on Takuya was. She could feel his hardness behind the trousers.

However their passionate moment was disrupted by Mei’s voice from the
intercom.

“Sorry to bother your passionate moment, young master but the discussion is
going to start soon”

Both of them froze, it as if they were poured by cold water. They looked at
each other, panting hard. Reluctantly, Takuya stepped away from Fenny,
moving to the nearest chair.

“Turn it on” Takuya ordered.

“Aye Sir ~”

“The meals are quite delicious, I really love the food in this hotel” Blitz said, his
eyes were sparkling with happiness.

“Osiris sama” Frost turned his head after wiping his mouth. “What is the
reason for you to summon us?”

Jiro chuckled, “Am I not allowed to summon you all to have a meal together?”

“Of course you are allowed, My lord” Frost replied, “However, there must be
more than just a meal for you to summon us, your humble servants”

“Sharp as always, I see” Jiro said, “That’s what I like about you”

“Such compliment is a waste to be directed at me, Osiris sama”

Jiro laughed hard before putting a serious face, “The thing we have been
waiting for is ready”

All the four pillars looked at each other before one of them opened their
mouth and this time it came from Blaze.

“You mean.. THAT thing?”

Jiro nodded as a sinister smile appeared on his face. “Yes.. Dark Requiem”
“Finally it has been completed.”

From the other side, Mei who was listening slammed her table hard while
standing up. Her eyes widened in fear and disbelief could be seen in it.

“N-No.. It can’t be..”

She muttered and shook her head. “I’ve erased everything about that horrible
thing.. Why..”

“Mei?”

Takuya’s voice could be heard from the headphone. “What do you mean
horrible thing?”

“Do you know about this Dark Requiem?”

“..Yes..” Mei spoke softly

“What is it, Mei? What is this Dark Requiem thing?”

Silent passed by for a moment, quite a moment before Mei opened her lips to
speak.

“…A curse..”

“Huh?”

Mei stared at the screen that showed the chrysanthemum room, seriously.
“..It’s a Curse.. Melody..”

Chapter 6 – The Confession & Sacrifice

He was careless..

Indeed he was…

Takuya who sat on the chair while listening to the conversation from the
speakers cursed himself inwardly. The reason for that was none other than the
woman who sat on the bed behind him, listening to the conversation. Even
though there was distance between them right now, Takuya wanted to turn his
head and stared at her face, wondering what kind of expression she would give
him. He wanted to see the desire that was lit up from deep within and
reflected on those honey colored eyes. However, a logical answer dampened
his thought right away. Fenny hated him and that was an undeniable truth.

As he brought Yuki to the restaurant at third floor, he caught a glimpse of

Fenny in that hotel. At first he thought it was just his hallucination but when he
received a text from Julian that Fenny was at the hotel, infiltrating the
Chrysanthemum Room, His heart stopped beating for a moment before leaving
Yuki at the restaurant alone.

His worry turned to fear when he saw her entering the Chrysanthemum Room.
He waited on the hallway for quite a long time, pretending to have a phone call
and his fear worsened when he caught his father figure entering the room.

However when Fenny walked out of the room in one piece, Takuya could let
out a little sigh of relief. His fear turned to anger because of her recklessness,
hence he brought her to this room.

He only wanted to talk, yes.. that was his intention. No more, No Less. Yet, his
desire for her kicked in the moment he pinned her to the wall. She looked so
dangerous and beautiful at the same time, spitting her poisonous words at
him. Takuya couldn’t help but wanting to taste those lips of hers.

Extreme Hunger…

That was the one attacking him the moment he tasted her lips. Just like a
forbidden wine, Fenny tasted so sweet yet poisonous, Exquisite yet dangerous,
heavenly yet mischievous.

The more he tasted her lips, the hungrier he became. Despite her rejection,
she opened up to him right away, embracing him tightly. Her moans drove
Takuya crazy. It took all of his mental energy not to lift her body and put it on
the bed.

Dear God, how he wanted her so bad..

Dear Heaven, how he loved her so much..

‘If only things are different between us..’

‘If Only..’

Takuya mused bitterly, he didn’t know how to kill the raging emotions inside of
him. There were times he wished that he didn’t fall in love with Fenny. It hurt
so much that he thought he couldn’t take it anymore. This feeling.. sometimes,
he hoped he never had it at all.

His attention was pulled by his father’s voice as he said something about ‘Dark
Requiem’. Takuya was about to ask Mei if she knew something about it when a
slamming sound could be heard from one of the speakers.

“N-No.. It can’t be..”

“I’ve erased everything about that horrible thing.. Why..”

“Mei?” Takuya asked “What do you mean horrible thing?”

“Do you know about this Dark Requiem?”

Takuya could feel Fenny stood up just by the sound and soon, she stood next
to him. Her attention was solely focus on Mei.

“..Yes..” Mei answered, her tone was soft. Something she rarely did in normal
circumstances.

“What is it, Mei? What is this Dark Requiem thing?”

Silent passed by for a moment, quite a moment before Mei’s voice could be
heard. The tone was flat, devoid of all emotion.

“…A curse..”

“Huh?” Takuya responded, quite confused of what Mei meant as curse.

“..It’s a Curse.. Melody”

Silent once again fell to the suit room, both Takuya and Fenny looked at each
other, frowning in confusion before turning their gazes back at the speakers.
“What do you mean by ‘Cursed Melody’?” asked Takuya.

“..It’s a thing that I made.. and it supposed to not exist anymore.. I already
deleted all the data.. how in the world it can be remade?”

“Wa-..!!”

Fenny was about to say something but Takuya gave her a sharp glance as he
put one finger in front of his lips. Confusion and irritation could be seen on her
face, but Takuya jerked his head to the side. A realization came down on
Fenny’s expression that the conversation continued inside Chrysanthemum
Room.

“If it’s completed, then when do we start?”

A voice that belonged to Frost could be heard from the speakers.

“First we are going to do a test run”

Jiro spoke, “The transmitter has been prepared, in a week we will see the
result”

“Where do you plan to test it?”

A voice that belonged to Blitz spoke, “It will be better if we targeted a crowded
area like Shibuya or Harajuku”

“We use Shibuya district” Jiro answered. “All of you need to be prepared, make
it more festive”

Takuya’s nerve twitched a little, even though it was just a voice somehow he
could feel that his father was smiling right now. His heart ached feeling torn
due to his own father’s evil action. He has sworn to his grandfather, Tezuka
Saitome, that HE, would stop his father from destroying more lives. However,
that didn’t mean his heart was okay with it. Having an evil parent who not only
killed his best friend but also tried to destroy more innocent lives, Takuya’s
heart always drowned in misery.

“My, Osiris~” Ivy’s voice could be heard, “I am looking forward to this event. I
want to see what this Dark Requiem can do”

“Heh, me too” Blaze’s voice appeared, agreeing to what Ivy said.

“That is all, Set and Nepthys will contact you all later” Jiro said as sound of
moving chairs could be heard.

“Yes, Osiris” the four pillars answered at the same time.

After a quite long of silence, Takuya spoke “Mei, it’s done now. I will see you in
my office tomorrow. Thank you”

“…Yes.. Young Master..”

Mei’s voice sounded so dejected, hollow and flat, just like a zombie. It brought
concern to Takuya’s mind but he would deal with her tomorrow. Now.. he had
to deal with a certain woman.

Turning his gaze away from the speaker, Takuya directed it at Fenny who stood
slightly close to him. Her face showed concern, probably about the Dark
Requiem issue.

“Fenny are you okay?” Takuya asked, his hand was lifted slightly but fell again.
Takuya wanted to touch her face so bad.

“Explain to me..” Fenny spoke, turning her gaze from the speakers to Takuya. It
was such a sharp gaze, the one that could sliced a heart and made it bleed.

“Explain what?”

“The thing I just heard! What do you plan to do?! What is your father going to
do with that thing called Dark Requiem?! And What is that Dark Requiem?!”
Fenny asked vehemently.

No words coming from Takuya’s lips for a while. He just kept staring at Fenny
before he closed his eyes for a while and opened it up,

“How should I know about that, Fenny?” Takuya asked calmly.

“Don’t lie to me! You must know about his plan!”

“If I already knew about this, Why did put a device to spy on my father?”

Fenny opened her mouth wanting to reply to Takuya’s question but she
paused. Takuya stared at her expression, knowing that she finally realized the
crucial part.
“..that’s right.. I..” looking away, Fenny seemed to lose words, didn’t know
what to say.

“To you.. I maybe a killer, but I am not my father and never work with him to
destroy other’s life” Takuya said, “In fact.. I am the one who try to bring him
down”

Hearing those words, Fenny turned her gaze back at Takuya.

“Why? Since he is your father, don’t you want to help him or protect him?” She
asked, looking so doubtful.

“If you have a parent who destroys other’s life, will you help him, Fenny?”
Takuya tilted his head to the side slightly, smiling sadly.

Fenny shook her head, “No..”

“I made a vow to my grandfather, that I will stop my father.” Takuya said with
a sigh, “So don’t do anything reckless again. If you want to destroy him, I shall
help you”

“Are you trying to redeem your sin?” asked Fenny coldly, stopping Takuya who
was on his way to the mini bar.

Takuya turned around slightly to face her, “If I am..?”

Fenny snorted in mockery, “Do you really believe I will forgive you just like
that?”

Calmly, Takuya gave her a little smile. “No, because what you have to do after I
bring down my father, is to take my life..”

Fenny’s eyes widened, “W-Wha..?”

“Your job is not to bring my father down, Fenny..” Takuya spoke, strangely he
felt at peace at the moment. Maybe because he had resigned to his fate that
he would be killed by the woman he loved the most. That didn’t sound too bad
for a bastard like him.

“Your job.. is to take my life, After I bring down my father”

Silence came into the room and stayed there for quite a moment. Both Takuya
and Fenny just stared at each other. Takuya whose eyes reflected nothing but
resignation met with Fenny whose eyes reflected her surprise and disbelief. Of
course, she would react like that. It was natural for her to give such reaction
the one who was unnatural was the man before her. The tension between
them mixed with the heavy silence, made it hard for them to utter a word to
break it.

“Ta—“

Pip pip pip!

Fenny was about to speak, calling out his name but sound of ringing phone
broke the silence. Takuya’s hand reached down to the pocket of his trouser
and pulling out the phone.

“Hello?” Takuya spoke after sliding his thumb on screen to accept the call.

“I have arrived at the hotel”

“Okay, she will be down in a few minutes. Thanks Jule” Takuya spoke and
ended the conversation.

“Julian is going to take you home, you and that friend of yours” Takuya said,
putting his phone back into the pocket. “Come, I will accompany you to the
elevator”

He said, striding past her only to be stopped by Fenny’s question.

“What did you mean by that? That my job is to take your life”

Takuya didn’t answer right away. He –in fact- was trying to form words as
answer to her question.

“Because that is your only job, you don’t have to bring down my father
because it is MY job and I don’t want it to be disturbed by your reckless
behavior.” Takuya said with his back facing Fenny who turned around abruptly
to face him.

“It’s--!!”
“YOUR job, is to kill the person who killed your brother and that person is ME”
Takuya said, cutting the words that Fenny was about to say.

“Now straighten up your clothes and come with me” Takuya said as he
continued his way to the door.

Fenny followed him from behind after tidying her clothes which was caused by
the man who walked ahead of her. Takuya noticed that she didn’t say anything
back, which was good. He had had enough of arguing, there were important
matters he had to deal right away.

Both of them walked along the hallway and stopped in front of the elevator. As
it arrived at the floor where they at, the door slid open. Fenny entered the
elevator alone, her face showed the distress she was in. Takuya knew he was
the one who put it on her face and a sudden decision came to his mind. If he
was going to be killed by this woman, he might as well do what he wanted to
do the past years.

His hand was lifted to halt the elevator door to be closed as he took a step
forward toward Fenny. His other hand reached to Fenny’s waist and pulled her
closer toward him. From her reaction, Takuya knew she didn’t expect this at
all.

‘Kaito..’

‘..I know my sin.. and I will pay it with my own life..’

‘However.. please do grant me this one wish..’

‘Please.. look away only for this moment..’

‘Please.. Let me declare my love for your sister.. only for this moment..’

‘I won’t ask for more..’

With that thought, Takuya leaned forward to kiss Fenny with a loving kiss. His
lips moved tenderly, giving all the love he had for years to this woman in his
arms.

Breaking up the kiss, Takuya smiled sadly. “I will only say this once..”

“…I Love You.. Fenny, I have been in love with you..”

With those words, Takuya let Fenny go and before Fenny reacted to his words,
the elevator door had closed.

“..Thank You.. Kaito..”

Takuya whispered softly. Now he would not have any regret when the time has
come for Fenny to take his life. He.. had resigned to the fate.. that was brought
upon him..

Fenny just stood there, staring into space as the elevator brought her down.
Takuya’s confession kept on repeating in her mind. Recalling the event from
before the kiss, she remembered how Takuya stared at her. The resignation in
his eyes, Fenny’s heart was frozen, stricken with shock and fear. Takuya had
resigned to his fate and that fate was to be killed by Fenny’s hands.

How was it felt to have that kind of resignation?

How much suffering Takuya had so far to be able to say such words?

‘He said he only say those words once..’

‘Then.. those words.. were his last words..’

‘His feelings..’

Tears rolled down Fenny’s face as she slowly raised hand to touch her lips. It
still swollen due to the kiss he gave her.

“..Takuya...” She whispered his name and more tears flowed down her face.

‘What should I do?’

‘Brother.. I.. can’t do it after all..’

Fenny mused, cried silently inside the elevator. She wanted to shout so bad,
she wanted to cried out loud, she wanted let it out. This feelings were
tormenting her, she was lost inside it, couldn’t find a way out.

Ping!
The elevator stopped at the ground floor. When it was opened, Fenny just
walked out of it, didn’t care how people stared at her teary face. She didn’t
have the right mind to care about such trivial matter.

“Fenny!”

Crystal’s voice could be heard and soon, the blonde woman came to view
along with Karin who stared at her worriedly. Probably because she looked like
a mess now.

“Are you okay?! What did he do to you?!” asked Crsytal, her face filled with
worry and rage.

“Fenny-chan, you are so pale” Karin said, adding more worry to Crystal’s face.

How weird..

Their voices sounded so distant to her ears..

She couldn’t hear them really well..

“..Crystal..” Fenny muttered Crystal name softly. “..I..”

“Excuse Me”

Another voice, cold and stoic, spoke from behind her. Turning her head
slightly, Fenny could see Julian coldly stared at them.

“Young master ordered me to take Miss Crystal and Miss Fenny home”

“What..?” Crystal’s eyes narrowed and her posture became rigid, filled with
anticipation.

“Yes, I shall go with you” Fenny agreed, she didn’t have the energy to refuse
anymore. All she wanna do was to rest her mind, thinking that what she heard
from Takuya was nothing but a nightmare.

“Fenny?!” Crystal stared at her in disbelief.

“It’s fine, Crystal.. I just.. want to go home..” She said, weariness could be
heard in her voice and that was probably that made Crystal gave up the idea to
fight and kill Julian on the spot.
“Fine.. I shall go with you” Crystal agreed reluctantly and turned her head to
Karin.

“Karin, I’m staying at Fenny’s place for the night” She said and gave Karin a
loving kiss which was returned the same way by Karin.

“When you arrived, give me a call” Karin said gently.

“I will” She said, entering the restroom to get her things and followed Fenny
who already walked ahead of her.

Her blue eyes stared at Fenny’s back, knowing that there must be something
serious going on between Fenny and the Young master of Saitome Family. She
made a mental note to ask about it as soon as they arrived at Fenny’s place.

Tonight... would be a long night indeed...

The next few days..

Takuya didn’t come to work which suited Fenny just fine. Her mind still messed
up because of that infiltration night, she wasn’t sure if she could stare at
Takuya in the eyes. Everytime she closed her eyes, Takuya’s face that was filled
resignation invaded her mind, his sad confession broke Fenny’s heart over and
over again. Those words were the one she wanted to hear before the incident
that had taken her brother’s life happened.

Now..

She couldn’t feel happy hearing such confession…

The memories of the conversation she had with Crystal once again played in
her mind. Crystal didn’t look surprised when Fenny told her that she couldn’t
continue the mission after knowing about Takuya’s feeling.

“I knew this would have happened sooner or later..” Crystal let out a sigh,
rubbing the back of her head.
“Hence the reason why I asked you that question before you entered his office
back then” Her eyes stared at Fenny who was sitting on the sofa, hugging a
small square shape pillow. Fenny felt so broken, her mind couldn’t even think
anything else aside from Takuya.

“What do you want to do now?” She asked Fenny.

Fenny shook her head weakly, “I don’t know.. I really don’t know.. I want to
destroy the man who killed my brother but.. when I think of how Takuya
behaved, how his eyes stared at me.. I..”

Tears rolling down Fenny’s face once again and she broke down in tears, crying
so hard. This was just like when she first arrived at Harvard. Fenny hated the
fact that she had no improvement at all. She was still this weak, hopeless
woman who couldn’t do anything by herself. She even couldn’t avenge her
brother right.

Fate was cruel indeed.. The man she loved with all her heart was the man she
had to kill in the end. It felt even crueler because the man himself had offered
his life willingly.

If only Takuya was not that man’s son..

If Only Takuya was just ordinary man..

Maybe.. Fenny wouldn’t have to feel this way..

“Then we postpone the mission for now”

Crystal’s voice snapped Fenny from drowning deeper into her miserable
thought. She lifted her head to see those blue eyes in question.

“Post.. pone..?” asked Fenny, noticing her voice became hoarse due to crying.

“You are not in your right mind, Fenny. I think you better calm down and think
about what you want to do for a few days.” Crystal suggested as she walked
closer toward the sofa and patted Fenny’s head.

“Don’t worry, whatever you choose to do, whichever path you will take, I shall
be with you until the end. After all, I consider you as my little sister”
The smile Crystal gave Fenny was gentle, full of loving. It warmed her heart as
she nodded weakly. Crystal was right, Fenny needed to think more about this.
She needed to find her resolve once again and it could only be gained by facing
the problem, not running away from it.

A sigh slipped out of Fenny’s lips as she took some documents and headed
toward the secretarial department. This department was under her command
since she was Takuya’s private secretary. As soon as she entered, she heard a
ruckus and it seemed three women were surrounding one woman. The
difference between those three women and that one woman was the style of
clothes they had.

The three women were obviously fashionable while the woman was plain,
nerdy type kind of woman Fenny used to see on TV dramas. Then again.. She
wondered how could a woman be THAT plain and nerdy, her clothes were like
3 or 4 years old fashioned. Their position alone alerted Fenny that whatever
happened, it would be a bullying case however it was confirmed by the words
one of the fashionable woman cast upon the nerdy woman.

“Can’t you do anything right?”

“Because of you the documents are missing right now”

“Well it’s expected from Ugly Yumi, it’s better for you to go away from here.
This place only exist for capable people”

The nerdy woman looked at them with blank face filled with confusion, “B-but
I thought I already sent to you Yuki-San”

“Oh my, I don’t know what you’re talking about” Yuki cast an evil smile toward
the Nerdy woman whom had been called, Ugly Yumi.

“The documents are not with me, you mustn’t place the blame of your
recklessness to other people, you know~”

Fenny frowned, seeing Yuki’s smile which had been passed on to the other two
women at her sides. Clearly they were doing it on purpose, surely they had the
documents. One would not wear such smile and said those words if the
documents were not one’s hand.

“B-But.. I am really sure that I—“

SLAP!

“Don’t talk back to me! How dare you try to put the blame on me!” Yuki
slapped Ayumi’s hard.

Fenny couldn’t stand it any longer. She strolled down toward them in quite fast
pace.

“What is going here?” She asked.

The three women turned around and surprised finding Fenny in secretarial
department. It was rare for her to be here because the director always had her
occupied.

“Oh, Fenny-San” Yuki said and gave her best smile, “It’s rare to see you here,
What can I do for you?”

Fenny returned the smile with a cold yet polite one, “I have my reason and I
hate repeating myself, what is going on here?”

“Oh..” Yuki was taken aback by Fenny’s gesture as she glanced at Ayumi “This
woman had lost the documents about Rox Company. I am about to scold her”

Fenny turned her gaze to Ayumi who looked so nervous, her eyes narrowed
slightly while lifting her fingers to touch Ayumi’s cheek that was reddened due
to the slap.

“And the scolding, does slapping have to be included as well?”

Fenny turned her gaze back to Yuki, staring deep into her eyes with a colder
gaze than before. Yuki was taken aback by it and her face went slightly pale.

“W-Well, It’s because—“

“No matter what the mistake, the company never allows such action to be
conducted” Fenny stated her opinion. Her eyes grew colder and sharper.

“I.. But It’s..”

“If I see you do this kind of thing again, I shall report this to the Director” Fenny
gave her a warning.

Tense silence entered the department and Fenny glanced around the people
who just stood there, doing nothing to prevent Yuki’s action a while ago.

“And this applies to all of you as well. Next time, if someone, anyone make a
mistake, report it to me.” Fenny turned her gaze to Ayumi who stared dreamily
at her. it was quite a surprised since Fenny thought that the nerdy woman was
down or in the verge of crying.

“Come with me, I shall apply ice for your cheek” Fenny said with a gentle smile
and both of them left the department together.

“U-um..” Ayumi wanted to say something as Fenny applied the ice on her
cheek.

“you should try to defend yourself next time” Fenny scolded her gently, “It’s
not good to hold yourself back”

“Um.. I..” Ayumi stared at Fenny dreamily, it as if she saw Fenny as a hero who
saved her from a cruel villain.

“Yes?” Fenny smiled gently,

“Thank you very much for helping me! You are so cool! No.. More than cool!”
Ayumi thanked her, her eyes beamed with excitement. The eyes of a child, if
one could say.

Fenny couldn’t’ hold back her smile, it grew bigger seeing how excited Ayumi
was.

“Your Welcome but please heed my words as well, try to be careful next time
and stand up for yourself more”

“I Will!!” Ayumi smiled widely in childlike manner.

“Fenny!”
A voice broke the moment between the two and when Fenny turned her gaze,
she found Crystal was walking toward her and Ayumi in fast pace. Her
expression looked worried, tensed.

“Crystal? What’s wrong?” asked Fenny

Crystal didn’t even glance at Ayumi. Her Attention was solely focused at Fenny
and seeing that, Fenny knew something was wrong.

“What is it?” Fenny asked once again.

“Karin.. She has gone missing!” Crystal said, clearly she was panic.

“What?!” Fenny said, stood up from her seat inside the break room. “Wait..
Have you tried contacting her?”

“Yes! I couldn’t reach her phone these days and I tried to reach her in the hotel
but the staff there said that she has gone missing for three days! No news at
all”

“Who is Karin?”

Ayumi who had been staring at them from her seat, tilted her head in
confusion.

“Um.. Crystal’s.. uh..” Fenny didn’t know what to answer, because not all
people could accept same sex relationship.

“She is my lover” Crystal answered and Ayumi tilted her head to the other side.

“She?” She asked and then soon it dawned on her what Crystal meant.

“Oh! You are a Legion!” Ayumi said,

“A what?” Crystal raised one eyebrow, staring at Ayumi in confusion.

Fenny also wore the same expression, “A legion?”

“Legion! You don’t know?” Ayumi asked, staring at them as if Crystal and
Fenny were children.

“a girl and a girl, Legion”

Crystal let out a sigh of annoyance, shaking her head. Fenny had to cough to
hold back her laughter.

“it’s Lesbian.. LES.BI.AN” Crystal said with gritted teeth, clearly her patience
was running thin.

“I gotta go, I have to search for Karin. I don’t have time to deal with..” Crystal
glanced at Ayumi before continuing her words, “Weirdo..”

“I will help!” Fenny said.

“No” Crystal shook her head, “Stay here and cover for me. Maybe Karin will get
in touch with you here”

“Okay, Be careful” Fenny said, “Contact me when you find her”

“Will do” Crystal nodded and stormed off.

Fenny stared at her back until it disappeared beyond the corner. Her mind
suddenly played many worst case scenarios and most of them had the four
pillars in it. She just hoped that her worst case scenarios were only scenarios
not a reality..

Takuya arrived at the office at the same time Fenny returned from secretarial
department. Both of them froze the moment their eyes met, however Takuya
was the one who broke the tension between them. His expression was serious
–like deadly serious—and Fenny cursed her heart for skipping a beat seeing it.
Fenny admitted unwillingly that no matter expression Takuya made, whatever
action he did, her heart would react to it.

“I need to speak with you” Takuya said and walked ahead toward his office.

Fenny stared at his back until it disappeared beyond the thick, dark brown
door. Blank incomprehension was on her face, she was wondering what
Takuya wanted to talk about, especially with her.

Once again Fenny recalled the incident that happened at the hotel. Her heart
started to beat faster, anxiety and nervousness rose in her heart. Maybe..
Takuya wanted to discuss about his confession.
Taking a deep breath, Fenny prepared her heart for the ‘Talk’ she was going to
have with Takuya. She started moving her feet, walking toward the office and
entered it.

“I am here” Fenny said, closing the door and faced Takuya who stood at the
center of the room.

However she frowned when Takuya didn’t say a single word to start the
conversation. His face was grim and that alone cast a wave of anxiety to her
heart.

“Ta-….” Fenny was about to call out his name but she changed her mind, “Mr.
Saitome.. May I know what is it that you want to talk about?” Fenny asked,
using business like tone.

Takuya turned his head, his sharp eyes stared at her face for a while before
replying to her question.

“I talked to Mei..”

“Mei?” Fenny frowned even more,

“The one with us in the hotel room”

“Oh..”

The words ‘Hotel Room’ once again brought back the memories Fenny tried so
hard to bury. Forcing herself to look normal, Fenny opened her lips to speak.

“And?”

“It’s about Dark Requiem. Now I understand why Mei said it’s a ‘Cursed
Melody’”

“Why?” Fenny took a step closer, feeling curious.

“It’s the melody that was created to raise the dark side in people’s mind. The
system is complicated and not to mention, it has a hacking system that will
allow the melody to spread widely to phones as long as it can play music.”

“Wait, you said something about ‘rising the dark side in people’s mind’.. What
did you mean by that?” Asked Fenny, clearly she was confused.
“Okay I will explain it in a more simpler way. When you hear a sad song played,
of course your mind filled with sadness, right?” Takuya asked and Fenny
nodded as an answer.

“And it’s the same with cheerful song, right?”

Once again Fenny nodded and Takuya continued the explanation.

“Cursed melody is the same. I heard the sample that Mei had in her computer.
The song filled with despair and darkness, it was so intense that I wanted to kill
myself, desperately. Mei explained that it’s one of the effect that Cursed
Melody has. The other effect is, you want to kill other people than yourself”

Fenny gapped slightly, she was so shock that she couldn’t utter a single word
as a response. The thought of that melody was going to be played in Shibuya,
the thought of people who would take their lives or others’ lives sent
unpleasant shivers down her spine. Fenny even shuddered at the mere
thought of it.

Shibuya would become a massacre area and the loss of life would be
unthinkable.

“Oh my god.. How can someone be so cruel to use that kind of thing on
people..” Fenny whispered softly and cover her mouth soon after as if she
spoke something rude.

Her eyes searched for Takuya’s face and realized that it became darker. She
couldn’t describe the expression he had at the moment. He looked so
miserable and it hurt Fenny’s heart so bad.

“I am sorry..” She muttered, looking away.

It was hard to say sorry to the man who caused the death of her brother but
she at least knew that Takuya was unlike his father. He.. was tortured and
feeling miserable for having such father. Fenny was certain of that fact now.

A cold snort came from Takuya, “Sorry?” He chuckled softly, moving his velvet
eyes to meet Fenny’s honey colored eyes.

“Why did you have to feel sorry for the man who took your brother’s life?”
Fenny could see how tired Takuya was, it as if he was in the verge of breaking
down. Her heart ached seeing it, wanted nothing but to ease his pain. She
wanted to make him suffer but now that she saw how suffered Takuya was,
she didn’t have the heart to see it anymore. Maybe she grew weaker, maybe
her resolve was not as strong as she thought it was. However…

“Takuya.. I..” Fenny took a step toward him.

In that short amount of time, Fenny made up her mind. She wanted to be true
to her feelings. Her brother might be disappointed, maybe he would curse
Fenny due to her decision for betraying him, BUT.. She couldn’t see Takuya like
this anymore. She just couldn’t..

‘Brother..’

‘Forgive me.. for betraying you..’

‘But.. I love this man with all my heart..’

Musing inside, Fenny took another step forward while Takuya watched her
movement with confusion painted in those velvet orbs. As Fenny took another
step closer, Takuya’s posture became rigid, tension could be seen on his face
and wary was added in his confused eyes.

Fenny stopped in front of Takuya, stood close to him and extended her hands
toward his face. Fenny could see how Takuya’s eyes widened in surprise when
her hands touched his cheeks.

“…Fenny..?” he wondered, looking so unsure. “What are you..”

A soft smile appeared on Fenny’s face, “..Takuya.. I.. Lo—“

BLAM!!

The door was opened suddenly, surprised the two as they turned their heads
to door. There was Crystal, panting softly as she strode toward Takuya and
grabbed the collar of his coat.

“Where is she?!”

Takuya was caught off guard for a moment, “Where is who?”

“Karin! Where is she?! You must know!” Crystal asked in rage.

“Crystal, calm down..” Fenny tried to control the situation.

“Karin..?” Takuya seemed to recall something and soon a realization hit him.
“The woman who was with Fenny that night?”

“Yes, do you know where she is? She is missing” Fenny explained, releasing
Crystal grip on his coat gently.

Takuya’s eyes widened in horror “Missing..? Oh no..”

Crystal frowned, still glaring at him. “..Oh no? What?! What is it?!”

“The four pillars might got her..”

Silence instantly dropped into that room, Crystal’s eyes widened in horror as if
she had missed an obvious answer. Fenny wore the same expression as well. It
slipped her mind that the four pillars might find out about them.

“No.. Karin..” Crystal turned around abruptly when her phone rang. She picked
it up right away when the screen showed the word ‘Cutey Honey’ with Karin
picture on it. She wore a lovely smile.

“Karin!” Crystal answered the phone “Where have you been?!”

Fenny watched how Crystal frowned, talking to Karin. The conversation ended
sooner that she expected to be.

“How is she? Where is she now?” Fenny asked, feeling worried due to Crystal’s
serious face.

“She sounded… odd” Crystal answered, “Like she was nervous or.. scared..”

“She wants to meet me now” Crystal glanced at the clock on the wall, it
showed 7 PM.

“Where?” Fenny asked, “Did she tell you?”

“Yeah, She told me to see me at the place where we went on our first date. I
will go now, she didn’t sound so good at the phone” Crystal stormed out of the
room, leaving Takuya and Fenny alone.
Fenny glanced at Takuya who just stood silent listening to their conversation.
His face was serious, as if he was in deep thought.

“..Takuya..?”

“Let’s chase after her.. I don’t have a good feeling about this..”

“What did you mean by that?” Asked Fenny, became wary now due to his
words.

“Do you have her phone number?” asked Takuya, ignoring Fenny’s question.

“Yes, of course”

“track her by GPS, let’s go!” Takuya walked ahead of her, storming out of the
room and wearing confused expression on her face, Fenny followed him right
away while turning on the GPS.

Yoyogi Park…

Crystal put her bike not too far from the park and she hurriedly came to the
spot where Karin waited for her on their first date. There she was, waiting
alone, wearing thick black coat while staring at the night sky.

“Karin!” Crystal called out to her.

Karin turned her gaze from the sky to her, she looked ragged. “Don’t come
closer”

“Eh?” Crystal who was walking closer to her, stopped walking. There was still
quite a distance between them.

“Karin..?”

“Did you remember? The words you said on our first date?” Asked Karin, she
looked surprisingly calm.

Crystal frowned slightly upon the question. Of course she remembered it, that
was the first time she vowed that her love would remain only for Karin.
However, Crystal wondered why Karin asked it all of a sudden.
“Of course..” Crystal answered, “That night.. I vowed that my heart only
belongs to you”

A smile appeared on Karin’s face, a loving yet a very sad one. “From now on.. I
release you from that vow..”

There were only two of them in the park and Crystal felt a sudden uneasiness
crept into her heart. This was unlike Karin, speaking like this.

“Kar—“

Karin opened her coat, revealing the bomb behind it. Her face was stricken
with sadness. Crystal’s eyes widened in horror, her body was frozen.

“Crystal!”

She could hear Fenny’s voice along with the sound of footsteps. Fenny came
with Takuya.

“Oh My god!” Fenny gasped, clasping her mouth.

Crystal could hear Takuya muttered curses under his breath. Well she didn’t
care, all she cared about was the woman she loved so much.

“I am sorry, I can’t be with you any longer” Karin said, even with the distance
between them, Crystal could hear her voice trembling.

“No.. I am going with you!!” Crystal was about to rush toward Karin when
Takuya grabbed her arms.

“Let Go Dammit!!” Crystal launched a side kick toward Takuya which was
accepted by him. Takuya grunted in pain but tightened up his grip on her arm.

“Crystal! Don’t!” Fenny hugged Crystal tightly

Then..

PIP!

“I love you”

KABOOM!!!
Those were the last word Crystal heard before Karin body exploded into
pieces. Takuya used his body to cover Fenny and Crystal as they bent to the
ground.

Crystal pushed Takuya away only to scream her heart out.

“KARRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

That eerie night, Crystal had lost the woman she loved the most. Her cries was
haunting, as if placing the curse on heaven for taking Karin to a place she
couldn’t reach. Taking her away forever…

Chapter 7 – Rage & Jealousy

Few days ago..

The moment Karin opened her eyes, she was in a room she didn’t recognize.
Recalling the memories she had, she was about to go to work when someone
rang the bell of her apartment. Then.. She woke up in this place, tied on a chair.

“Where.. am I..?” Karin muttered, panic started gathering in her heart.

This situation, no matter how much she looked at it, this was just like one of
the kidnaping scene in those dramas or movies she had watched.
