My RLE Journal

On the day of our duty on St. Joseph Ward, I learned how to be adaptive

when it comes to another ward like medical and surgical wards because

being a nurse is a challenge for me to be accessible to any kind of wards in

the hospital then I learned also that when I was doing my clinical rounds,

time management is very important because i need to work fast as long as i

do in order for me to come up when the doctor was doing his/her rounds so

that I can observe and learn the way he/she ordered in my assigned

patient. In my accomplishments, I think that in myself there is one moment

that I accomplished like handling my patient since in my first day of duty

and in the last because I realized that this moment, I think this the most

beautiful way that I been come up to myself when taking a nursing

profession. During my duties in every ward in the SACRI, I experience a lot

of disappointments and frustrations like I’ve been yelled sometimes and I

made my clinical instructor mad at me because of my inappropriate doings

in inside the ward then I made mistakes like doing some chartings,

administered some medicines in my assigned patient, doing some nursing

procedures that I cannot master it because I don’t know how to do it

properly and also a proper handling to a patient. So, I realized that all of

this are perfect to me because this could be my inspiration that I should be

finished what I started, and I started to think that all my mistakes could my

learnings as wells. After that, I trained my self to be better, when handling

patients, doing some nursing procedures and also interacting with the staff

nurse as well as my clinical instructor, I never hesitate to ask him/her when

I do some nursing procedures because this is the important thing that

students should be work on, ask first and be confident when I was inside

the ward. And lastly, I recommend myself that being a nursing student is
hard and surely it so challenging but I myself train a lot of realization that

every nursing student has a purpose inside the ward that it should be

matter to ourselves.
