Bella is a grade 1 pupil who is enrolled in Modular Modality. She finds it hard to answer her module in English particularly
in identifying the beginning sound of the word since it lacks model.

Case Study No. 2

Daniel is a grade 6 pupil enrolled in the RBI class. He often leaves his academic tasks in math unanswered. He finds it
hard to solve Math problems because he does not understand them.

What are the possible reasons why Daniel finds it hard to solve Math problems? If you are his RBI teacher what scaffold
are you going to provide him?

 One possible reason why Daniel finds it hard to solve math problems is that he has not mastered the basic
fundamentals of mathematics. As his RBI teacher I will introduce the basic fundamentals of mathematics through
giving supplementary activities which focus on basic mathematical operations with pre-recorded voice.
