BASIC NAVIGATION INTRODUCTION
The information found within this document may not apply
to all users. User access will depend on the subscription.

will return you

Entering a Prefix
or Serial Number
and clicking the
“Navigate” button
allows users to
quickly access the
product structure
and document
structure for a
specific product.
SIS 2.0 NAVIGATE AND SEARCH
The Navigate field uses
Auto suggest helping
users who are unsure of
their prefix and is
displayed after typing 2
characters. For
example, start typing
the word “excavator”
and a list of products
will be displayed that
match.
“Top Hit’s” are matches
to existing Prefixes.
Autosuggest also works
with model numbers
and model names such
as “793”
Results are listed in
alphabetical order.

Prefix and Serial
Number field
User view their
machine
equipment lists.

machines can
be searched by
typing their
equipment
number into the
Prefix or Serial
Number Field.
The Auto
Suggest feature

You can preform a
search for all
available information
for a specific product
by entering a prefix
or serial number and
clicking “Search”. To
narrow your results
from the start, you
can also add a Part
Number or Keyword
and then click
“Search”.

perform searches by entering a
Part Number or Keyword
WITHOUT a prefix or serial

The search results page is primarily made up of 2
sections: the results for your search and filtering
options in the left-hand navigation

is performed the
results per page
and the total
number of
results is shown
on the left of the
result header.
On the right of
the result header
the user can
change the
number of
results per page
from 25-200.
Also shown is
the total number
of pages,
navigation
through each
page can be
accomplished by
using the arrow
tabs.

If you included a full


serial number, the as-
maintained Product
Configuration will be
the top result if it is
available. By clicking
on the Product
Configuration tab, the
user will be directed to
the As Maintained
Machine Breakdown.

By default, results
are ordered by
Most Relevant.
You can cycle
through the sort
order by clicking
the Calendar icon
at the top-right of
the search
results. Besides
Most Relevant,
you can change
the sort order to
Newest First or
Oldest First.

also available if
you wish to only
view Parts results
or Service
Results. Click the
Gear icon to filter
your search to
only Parts results.

icon may be restricted depending
on subscription.

SIS 2.0 REFINE BY PRODUCT
When you perform a search
without context, meaning you did
not include a prefix or serial
number, the Refine by Product
feature will be available to assist in
narrowing your results.

Click the gray bar below the


header to narrow your results
based on product family.

After the page refreshes, you will


have the option to narrow your
results even further by selecting a
machine model. Once a model is
selected you will have the option
of selecting a serial number prefix
in the left-hand navigation.

The Product Configuration page


displays an as-maintained
breakdown of parts included on
your product if available.

You can get to this page by


clicking the Product Configuration
results at the top of the search
results or from the Home Page by
entering a full serial number and
clicking Navigate button.

Links to external systems such as


PIP/PSP, SIMSi and TMI are also
located on the Product
Configuration page.

Authored parts are


hyperlinked in blue for easy
navigation.

The Parts tab displays a list of


Systems and Components
included on the product and is
similar to the Product Structure
view in SIS Web.

If multiple configurations are


available for your product, you can
switch between them using the
dropdown just above the Systems
and Components.

When switching to a different


Configuration, the Systems and
Components list will update to
reflect that change. By default,
this will be set to All
Configurations and a combination
of all systems and components
for all available configurations will
be displayed.

Clicking on a part result from the search results


page will take you to the Parts Detail Page.

This page includes the part graphic, if one is


available, and the consist for the group is displayed
under the individual Parts tab.

The left-hand navigation will highlight the part you


are currently viewing under the systems and
component it belongs to. Click the Print icon at the
top-right to print the physical copy of the graphic
and consist or save it as a PDF.

You can navigate up the product structure by


clicking hyperlinked part numbers in the “Entire
Group” section.

If additional content for parts exists those part numbers will be hyperlinked in
blue and allow you to drill another level deeper into the structure.

listed under the

The Services Articles tab contains a list of hyperlinked service information related
to your current parts search. Information found under this tab will depend on your
subscription.

The Where Used tab contains a hyperlinked list of all


other products the arrangement, group or part
number currently being searched.
SIS 2.0 SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS

In some cases, the part you selected will belong to multiple systems or components on the same product.
When this happens, a modal will be displayed asking you to select what context you would like to view the
part in. No matter what option you choose you will be shown the same part. The only difference is where
that part is located within the Systems and Components section of the Left-Hand Navigation.

The first option here
will take you to the
electronic control group

SIS 2.0 SHOPPING CART

Part quantities can be adjusted and added to the Shopping Cart individually or you can click
the Add All button to add all the parts to the shopping cart
SIS 2.0 SHOPPING CART

The Shopping Cart page is broken up into 2 tabs. The Cart tab is your active parts list. The My
Lists tab is a collection of previously saved parts lists that can be quickly added to the
Shopping Cart.
SIS 2.0 SHOPPING CART

SIS 2.0 will give your parts list a default order ID. You can change this as well as add a Work Order,
Segment or Operation before saving. You can add a note to the entire parts list or for an individual part.
To remove a part, click the “X” to the left of any part. You can click “Delete All” to remove all parts from
the active lists. You can also add a part to the list by clicking the “Add Part” button.
SIS 2.0 SHOPPING CART

If you added a part to the Shopping Cart from a specific prefix or serial number, that information will be
displayed in the Serial Number or column. Part Numbers and Group Numbers are hyperlinked to give
you a quick way to return to the Parts Detail Page.

You can print a physical copy or save a PDF version of the Shopping Cart by clicking the Print icon at the
top-right of the page. To export the Shopping Cart as .XML or CSV, click the Export button and choose
the format.

If you have a previously downloaded parts list on your desktop, you can upload it by clicking the Import
button. Click the “Save My List” button to save your current parts lists to the My Lists tab. This will clear
your Shopping Cart.

You can delete a saved list by clicking the “X” button on the left of the
Order ID. To preview a list, click the hyperlinked Order ID. You can add or
remove parts directly from there.
SIS 2.0 SHOPPING CART

You can also add the entire list to the Shopping Cart without previewing
the list by clicking the Add all button to the right of any list.
