MIG Welding
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

2.0 OBJECTIVE
1. To gain experience and knowledge of the use of MIG arc welding and materials safe

2. Improve the students during their patience do work piece.

3. Ensure that the students that they know how to use MIG machine and hand tools in the right way

3.0 SAFETY

1. Always know the hazard associated with the equipment or material that are being ultilized in workshop
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
2. Wear face shield when welding. Face shield protect the eyes when students operate MIG welding
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
3. Do not look at welding with the naked eye as strong arc light can cause eye pain, glare and juicy
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
4. Remove watches, rings and bracelets as they can endanger yourself while using welding conditions
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
and cause injury
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
5. Be familiar with the location of the emergency equipment such as fire alarm and fire extinguisher
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
6. Dont palying in the workshop and ake serious when doing the work

7.0 DISCUSSION:

we must follow the safety procedures in the work shop to avoid the accident and
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
to complete the project succesfully. I know the type of electrode that been used in MIG/TIG.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
MIG welding is using the continuous silod electrode wire but TIG welding is using the
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
tungsten electrod. It is important to know the electrod uses to avoid defect in welding.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
By following the right step to welding we can avoid the defect such as purosity and
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
lack of difucion.

8.0 CONCLUSION:

From the results of this assignment I have learned many things during this project,
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
especially in dealing with MIG machine. This is because there are several steps that
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
must be followed before conducting proper welding MIG is. For example, adjust the gas
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
gas pressure which is suitable for welding workpiece. I also gain experience and knowledge
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
of the use of MIG welding and material safe. At last also know how to use MIG-michine
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
and hand tools in the right way.
