WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues,
The COVID-19 crisis is disrupting normal life that is harming health and well-being of children
worldwide. The parents and caregivers may either not be able to afford or get out to buy the food
that they normally give their young children. This may mean adapting habits. Children, although less
directly affected by the virus, are paying a heavy price through the indirect effects of the crisis amongst
vulnerable groups. The poor diet, school closures, social distancing and confinement increase the risk
of poor nutrition among children.
The real impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children extends well beyond that of a viral infection.
This crisis has public health implications that could have life-long consequences on children. It
requires effective and targeted measures mainly for vulnerable children and households to guarantee
children’s basic rights for optimal nutrition to protect their immunity, and to ensure their future growth
and development. The 5th Indonesian Pediatric Nutrition and Metabolic Update (5th NUTRIMET) with
the theme “Growing Well in A Changing World” is aimed at discussing the potential impact of the
changing world on children’s nutrition and lifestyle habits of children.
The 5th NUTRIMET will be held from 21 – 22 & 23 – 24 July 2022 by the Nutrition and Metabolic
Disease Working Group/Indonesian Pediatric Society, is to bring Pediatricians, Nutritionists,
Neonatologists, and experts in child development and other specialists to discuss the challenges of the
interplay between nutrition and growth in the pediatric age group. The 5th NUTRIMET will be equipped
with set-skill tools in fruitful on-line workshop on 21 July 2022, off-line workshops on 21 – 22 July 2022
at Hyatt Regency Bali-Indonesia, and 23 - 24 July 2022 for online conference and virtual exhibition at
https://nutrimet.id/annual-conference/
We hope the annual conference will enable to share the updated knowledge focusing on nutrition and
growth in nutrition and metabolism field.

(Central Indonesian Time). The Workshop’s E-Certificate will be issued at the end of Workshop. No
printing version of certificate will be provided.
LANGUAGE

INTRODUCTION
Inborn errors of metabolism occur in 1 out of every 1,500 births, which are rare genetic (inherited)
disorders in which the body cannot properly turn food into energy. Inborn errors of metabolism are
primarily associated with the improper digestion of food items and defects in the storage of carbohydrates,
fatty acids, and proteins, leading to abnormal accumulation of metabolites and reduced production of
energy. In this Workshop online, the participants will learn the practice essentials how to detect with
appropriate diagnosis and manage the problems.

Stunting has a negative impact on the children under the age 5 years’ later life, like disruption of brain
development, cognitive development, growth faltering, and low immune system, which caused by
chronic malnutrition that leads to growth failure. The Nutrition Management of Stunting Workshop will
highlight the nutritional management of acute malnutrition to improved nutritional status and cognitive is
needed to reduce the negative impact of stunting on children

Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition in Critically ill Patients Workshop

INTRODUCTION
Enteral and parenteral nutrition are usually administered to patients for short periods of time in the
hospital, but are occasionally needed for extended periods of time for patients at home or in long-term
care facilities. In this Workshop, participants will learn about the provision of nutrients and intravenously
for patients who are unable to eat adequately when provided a normal diet in critical care setting.
The case base discussion will discuss about indications, monitoring, administration and solutions,
complications both enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy to improve outcome.

Post-Discharge Nutrition for Preterm Babies Workshop

INTRODUCTION
Postnatal growth retardation is inevitable in preterm infants. A very-low-birth-weight infants (VLBWI)
are undernourished and under-grown when they are first discharged from the hospital, particularly the
breast-fed that have shown that growth are poorer in preterm babies fed a standard term formula than
those fed a nutrient-enriched infant formula. In this Workshop, participant will exercise the growth pattern
in preterm infant and choose the best available option of given situations. Participants are expected to
understand the underlying nutritional support of preterm infants after discharge, where intake meets
needs thereby ensuring the best outcome, which, in the case of the preterm infant, is optimal growth
and development.

Perioperative Nutrition Workshop

INTRODUCTION
Patients at risk for malnutrition should be identified early since it is a major risk factor for increased
postoperative morbidity and mortality. Many patients may benefit from newer enteral formulations,
such as those designed to enhance immune function (immunonutrition). There are many ways to
tackle malnutrition and better prepare patients for surgery. In this Workshop, participants will be given
a validated tool to identify patients who should benefit from nutritional support. The participant will learn
the adoption of total parenteral nutrition followed by the extraordinary progress in parenteral and enteral
feedings to treat malnutrition and improve surgical patient’s outcomes

ABSTRACT PREPARATION GUIDELINES

1. Abstracts must be typed in English; Arial font size 11pt and single spacing
2. The Abstract must not exceed the 250-word limit excluding the title and authors.
3. Abstract title is limited to 20 words in UPPER CASE (All Caps)
4. Authors’ full name shall be written by first name and followed by family name in upper and lower case
5. Primary author(s) is the first mentioned, and underlined for presenting author
6. Affiliation details in sequence for department, institution/hospital, city/state, country
7. Avoid using nonstandard abbreviations, unfamiliar terms; symbols or acronyms not easily understood by
general readers. Non-standard abbreviations must be defined in full at their first appearance
8. Use generic name of drugs. Express numbers as numerals
9. Table/Graphs/Diagram should Not be included in the abstract.
10. A maximum 3 images can be included per abstract (JPG/JPEG/PNG), which is worth maximum 30
words.
11. References are not obligatory and word count is affected by inclusion of references
12. The content of Scientific Research Abstract is four paragraphs body that briefly state as follow:
OBJECTIVE : State concisely why the study was conducted
METHOD : Indicate the locale, sample number, principal test(s) performed, and the types of
statistical analysis employed
RESULT : Confirm or refute the hypothesis, supported by statistic if appropriate
CONCLUSION : State the effect of the study on future patient management or understanding of basic
process
13. Abstract submission is also valid for Case Report with the content of Abstract in three paragraphs body
that briefly state as follow:
OBJECTIVE : State concisely why this case is being reported and its novelty or clinical relevance.
CASE : Case description
CONCLUSION : Briefly summarize the clinical impact and/or implications of this case and provide
suggestions for the clinical area, precautions that should be taken, or interesting topics
for future research.

ABSTRACT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
• Submission of abstract will be acknowledged by email reply to each nominated email address at the
latest before 10 June 2022 after reviewed by the Free Paper Coordinator to be allocated in E-Poster
upon category; quality, clarity, and relevance for the audience, as well as the significant of paper
• Notification will be emailed to nominated email address with the detail, including instructions, place,
date and time
WITHDRAWAL / CHANGES
• Abstract is allowed to be edited for one time only. The edited Abstract should be emailed to
secretariat@geoconvex.com with the subject: [5th NUTRIMET 2022] Abstract Revised (Author
Name) at the latest before 31 May 2022.
• Withdrawal/changes will not be possible after the above mentioned date.
• Should you wish to withdraw your Abstract, please email to secretariat@geoconvex.com
PUBLICATION
• The presenting Author must be a Registrants in order to ensure their Abstract(s) is included in the
final program. The uncommitted registration will cause the disqualification of Abstract and will not be
published accordingly. Registration payment deadline for the presenter is 25 June 2022.
• Submission acknowledges consent to publication of the Abstract in the Proceeding Book. Abstract
submission also means the agreement to such publication and to release any copyright over the
Abstract
• The Organizing Committee has reserve a right to edit the format of abstract due to the printing task
for publication in terms of uniformity purpose
E-POSTER GUIDELINES
The organizer requests all accepted abstract presenters to provide an electronic poster (E-Poster) that
will displayed in dedicated E-Poster lounge.
1. All E-Poster should be prepared in English.
2. All E-Poster must be submitted in PDF format, single (one) Page, vertical orientation (portrait).
3. Create your E-Poster layout using Microsoft PowerPoint. Design and set your Slide Size to
custom widescreen with portrait orientation (19.05cm width x 33.87cm height or 7.5 inch width
x 13.333inch height).
4. The E-poster title, name(s) of the author(s) and affiliation(s) should appear at the top. First
author and co-author names written after title without any degree. Presenter’s name are given
underline.
5. The content of E-Poster should include brief written of objectives/background, methodology/
cases, result and conclusion of the presented study/case report.
6. Images/photos, graphs and tables can be included in the e-poster
7. The E-Poster should be self-explanatory. Any particular points or questions raised by the viewers
will be linked directly to presenter’s Whatsapp number for real-time discussion.
8. When the E-Poster design is ready, “save as” your ppt file to PDF format.
9. The final PDF version of your E-Poster must be emailed to secretariat@geoconvex.com at the
latest 25 June 2022.
10. E-Poster submitted should be final and ready to display, any revision will not be accepted after
30 June 2022.
THE BEST E-POSTER PRESENTATION

The 5TH NUTRIMET E-Poster Panel of Juries will select the best E-Posters presented during the
conference. The announcement of Best E-Posters and rewards will be announced at Closing Remark,
Sunday 24 July 2022. Kindly join the Closing Remark online on your surprise.

REGISTRATION & ACCOMMODATION

ON-LINE REGISTRATION
Participant of NUTRIMET must create an account under his/her personal name & email (Sign-Up), which
cannot be represented by others. The registration of personal account and data are used to access the 5th
NUTRIMET programs and related to Certification procurement. Log-In to re-access the Account.
REGISTRATION FEES INCLUDE

- 5th NUTRIMET documents & materials: Proceedings Book with long abstract Speakers, along with
other available digital documents
- Access to all related programs
- E-Certificate of Attendance that has been accredited by Indonesian Pediatric Society for Pediatricians
and Indonesian Medical Association for General Practitioners.
REGISTRATION STEP BY STEP

1. First timer participants are required to create a personal account. SIGN-UP by filling in the Participant’s
full name & personal email.
2. When the personal account has been created, LOG-IN with the registered email and enter the password.
Select the desired participation, proceed to check-out.
3. Complete the personal data and proceed with the transaction to complete the registration.
4. Participants can view transactions through MY ACCOUNT on their respective dashboards
5. Participants will also receive notification emails related to transactions and account information in the
email.

PAYMENT METHODS
Adhering to Regulation of Bank Indonesia (RBI) NO.17/3/PBI/2015 regarding Mandatory use of Rupiah
within the Republic of Indonesia (RI), all payments in this event registration should be made in IDR
(Indonesian Rupiah).
Direct Bank Transfer. Make your payment transfer to the appropriate event Bank Account for
the mentioned Event. The Bank Account detail may be found in the Checkout page. Bank transfer
charges should be paid by registrant, otherwise the registration receipt and Ticket will not be issued
due to less payment received.
PAYMENT CONFIRMATION
- Participants can LOGIN to re-access their account and click “Confirm Payment”, and upload proof of
payment (JPG; PNG; PDF) of a maximum of 2 MB or contact the Secretariat via WhatsApp +62811882080
by sending a photo of the proof of transfer.
- It may take up to 3 working days for the Secretariat to verify the transaction. Changes in payment status
can be seen in MY ACCOUNT and/or subsequent email notifications.
PAYMENT DEADLINE
The deadline for payment is 3 days before the event date. Unpaid registration will cause the participant’s
name to be deleted automatically by the system so that the participant cannot access the platform when it

INDONESIAN PEDIATRIC SOCIETY’ SENIOR MEMBERS REGISTRATION

Based on the regulations of the Indonesian Pediatric Society, the senior members are entitled to free registration of
symposium only by attaching a photo of their ID card and contacting the Secretariat on WhatsApp +62811882080.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION & REFUND

Notification of cancellation of registration for 5th NUTRIMET participants must be made in writing by email to the
secretariat. The registration fee will be refunded with the following cancellation conditions:
- Cancellation one month before the event - 50% payment will be refunded
- Before 30 days & during the Event - No refund of registration fee
- Participants who have paid but did not attend the event will not get a refund for the registration fee
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Registration cancellation must be made in written and emailed to the Secretariat.
ACCOMMODATION
The following terms and conditions will be applied to accommodation:
• No Show will be applied on the first night for delayed or postpone staying that causes the loss of 1 night room
deposit made.
• In the event of materialization, the hotel will charge the full amount duration of stay upon check-out that causes
the loss of mentioned deposit made.
• Refund may only be made after the event by bank transfer. Official letter should be submitted to Secretariat
address mentioning its payer’s Bank Account.

Disclaimer
The 5th NUTRIMET 2022 will take all reasonable measures whether to keep the workshop held off-line
or on-line at the latest before 31 May 2022, in connection with the current state of arising from or related
to COVID-19 pandemic issues. By participating the PRE-NUTRIMET Workshops, the Registrants agree
to join the Workshop remotely on remote meeting platform instead. The meal amount allocation of IDR
500.000,- will be refunded accordingly to the payer bank account.
