We celebrate many festivals in India they include:

Religious festival
Durga Pooja/ Dusshera: It celebrates the death of the demon Ravana at the hands of Lord Rama.

Diwali: It is the biggest festival of India. The festival marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya

Pateti: It is the day preceding the Parsi New year. The name Pateti originated from the word ‘Patet’

Onam: It celebrates the home coming of the legendary King Mahabali.

Makar Sankranti: It is celebrated to mark the arrival of spring in India. It also marks
the gradual increase in the duration of the day.
