Axis Linear Countertop Extension from Häfele’s Space2 Range of Lifestyle Fittings
upgrades your kitchen worktop area with a linearly sliding countertop which can be
fitted onto your existing kitchen and furniture surfaces. It is completely hidden
under the sliding countertop extension and facilitates a smooth and effortless
motion. This countertop extension can be moved in three ways - horizontal, vertical
and diagonal by just changing the installation technique.

for a particular width and depth. The type of movement changes
based on the installation of the fitting.

extension depth is the dimension along which Axis Linear moves
(as shown by the arrow in the images) and countertop extension
width is the dimension perpendicular (at 90˚) to the depth

Note 3: Length of Extension Protrusion is the value by which the
countertop extension extends outside your kitchen surface/

The Axis Linear Countertop Extension consists of two

types of slides
a. Extending Slides (used for countertop extensions
with widths up to 1500 mm)
b. Central Extendable Slides (used for countertop
extensions with widths above 1500 mm)

Let’s take an example of three countertop extensions with dimensions as given below and place them in the chart
above. This exercise will help us suggest the number of extending slides and central extendable slides required for
each countertop extension.

Mapping the widths and weights of each extension to the

chart, we get:
Countertop Extension 1: The width is 1590 mm, but
considering the weight of 185 kg, this countertop extension
falls under Type 3 thus requiring 2 extending slides and 2
central extendable slides
Countertop Extension 2: The width is 800 mm, but the weight
is 135 kg categorizing this countertop extension under Type 2
thus requiring 2 extending slides and 1 central extendable
slide
Type 1 Type 2 Type 3
Countertop Extension 3: Considering the width of 1200 mm
and weight of 80 kg, this countertop extension will fall under
Type 1, requiring 2 extending slides only.
As observed from the above examples, you must determine Weight Carrying Capacity (kg)
the 'Type’ field as per the higher/ heavier value of width or
weight. For e.g. If the width of the countertop falls under Type
2 but the weight falls under Type 3, you will have to choose
the higher field (in this case, weight) to select the number of
fittings to order.

Axis 360˚, the rotating countertop extension from Häfele’s Space2 Range, we
intend to not only make more space available to you in an instantaneous, simple
and effortless sliding motion but also grant that space a flexibility of movement.
Axis 360˚ can be moved linearly, in a full circular rotation and parked at any angle
that suits your convenience, all with the same fitting and installation. It can be held
and partially locked at every 90˚. You now don’t need to adjust yourself as per your
countertop, but have it adapt to your requirements.
